Arelys and her family made us feel very welcome. It was the best tico hospitality we experienced on our trip, and it made a lasting impression. The house is conveniently close to the Santa Elena Cloud Forest and a short walk from a great little pizzeria. Be sure to ask about doing a night tour with her husband!

the driveway was narrow and steep.

we stayed on the 2nd floor of the building. there was a wide covered balcony with plenty of sunlight and comfortable chairs to take on the view. it did not feel like a commercial building, much more like we were guests in someone’s home

Arelys was very welcoming and informative about what to do around town. She shared a list of free activities to do and restaurant recommendations. The place was very peaceful and overlooked the mountains. The hot water in the shower was another plus! My siblings and I were staying there during Easter and Arelys surprised us with a little Easter basket of goodies :') Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

Not much that we didn't like. Would have been nice to pay with credit card but they are cash only.

Favorite part is the included kitchenette that has all the basic cookware needed. More affordable to buy from a grocery store and cook at the hotel. Location is great if you have a car as it is not walking distance to the main part of town.

The walls are very thin so we could hear the voices in the other room. Also, it was extremely windy when we were there and the gusts of wind against the thin construction caused extreme noise and gave an impression as if the house could fall apart any minute. It's a steep climb to the property and parking is not the easiest (on a slope).

Big-sized rooms and comfortable beds. The owner family were very friendly and gave us some recommendations of interesting activities in the area. Beautiful views from the terasse.

First - we would definitely stay again, but there are things people should know. There is a flight of stairs to get to 2 units. The host graciously helped with our luggage. It was up high, but on a busy road, so there was traffic noise. There is no heat in the unit, but we were there on an unusually chilly night and got along fine. There is no TV, but who needs a TV when you have a view like that?!

It had everything we needed, and we would stay again. The host was very friendly and helpful. The bed and bedding was comfortable. The shower pressure was good and had plenty of hot water. It was spotlessly clean. The view was spectacular, and it was so nice to have the outdoor seating area. The wi-fi worked well. The host provided delicious Costa Rican coffee and bananas in our room. We didn't cook, but it was convenient to have kitchen supplies.

Arelys (and her husband) were very welcoming with a delightful added touch of some fruit and CR coffee. She checked in regularly to see if we needed anything. The room was very clean and comfortable, making our 3 nights there a wonderful experience.

Upstairs was very noisy when it rained, no ac so got very humid in downstairs room, drive around the town is full of potholes, cash pay only.

View, 20 minutes from Monteverde cloud forest, very attentive host, cute town nearby.

- Arelys , the host, is the friendliest and most helpfull host we had in our trip in Costa Rica. - the bed is comfy and big - the room feels big (nice high sealing) and there is a coffee machine and fridge ! - its very clean and hygienic, it smells clean when you enter the room - overall it feels cosy and specially Arelys and her familie make you feel at home

We had such a special stay at Monteluna studios. The views are breathtaking and the studio is cosy and has everything you need. Main activities are a short journey away and Arelys (the host) gave us great suggestions for places to eat in town. Arelys went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. She gave tips on the local area and even contacted our shuttle bus company that did not arrive, to confirm they were coming to pick us up. We have never had a host go so out of there way to make our stay perfect! We would 100% recommend.

The view is absolutely amazing and the house is well located to visit the area. That said, because it is not in a remote place, there is some noise from vehicles on the road below in the early morning.

We were welcomed by the family and really felt at ease there. The view to the surroundings from the balcony and the upper room are absolutely stunning. It is a good place to start discovering the Santa Elena surroundings. The family was very helpfull to book activities and recommend good places to visit. Selvatura ziplining and the guided nightwalk were highlights of our stay there. They also recommended some nice places to go for dinner with the family.
