Cute hostel near to the centre of La Fortuna. Decent kitchen and around the corner from a big supermarket. Really nice terrace upstairs to chill. Beds have curtains and bathroom in the dorm. Nice staff - thanks Aron, Margarita and Claudia for all the help during my stay.

The location of the hostel is really good. It's close to the center and also at walking distance to the river. All the staff was really nice and so helpful. They offer great tours and help you with all questions you have. Olivia helped me book my tours, she was really lovely. I'd recommend staying at this hostel!

There is nothing in particular I didn’t like about argdivan. It is a very nice place to stay and would definitely do it again.

This is such a nice hostel for the price. Clean bathrooms and beds as well as attentive staff. They also had some hostel activities while I was there. Very nice touch.

Our stay at Argdivan hostel was amazing, the place made us feel at home and was a very homey environment. The volunteers Fiona and Jasmine were very welcoming and were quick to answer any questions we had about the hostel or the city itself.

The only thing that could have been a little bit better was the kitchen area as utensils were not in good shape but this is common in hostels and I was able to cook meals anyway.

My stay at Argdivan was wonderful and the staff made sure it that way. The property is very comfortable, it was clean, everything worked as expected and I got all the information I needed to get around and do plans in La Fortuna. It is clear that the owners, Lauti and Lara, and the people that work there like Manu and Agus, put a lot of effort into creating a great experience for the guests! I would recommend Argdivan to anyone travelling to La Fortuna.

The linens and towels were very tattered- there was a rip in the sheets & holes in the towels. The pillows smelled really bad, like body odor/urine. Also, they charged a huge 10% credit card fee on top of the taxes & fees already included by bookings.com. This was not shown or disclosed at time of booking which is unethical.

Great building and the private room was really nice. A/C worked amazing. Hot shower!! Awesome rooftop balcony & great WiFi

I stayed here after two days of staying in another hostel in la Fortuna! My experience was amazing! Good kitchen, wifi and clean rooms, coffee in the morning and helpful staff! Specially George! He was amazing! Every night there’s a party at the bar, you only need him for the party:) Roland, the manager, was also amazing!

Great location. Made really cool world-travelling friends. Ana and Jana, who were helping at the hostel, are trilingual and made my stay very enjoyable. The owners are very kind and helpful, leading by example. There were lots of activities and excursions to do. I would definitely stay here again next time.

Very friendly and welcoming, Jorge and Djana were the highlight of my stay at Argdivan hostel! They surely make sure you enjoy your stay in La Fortuna and give you all the tips you need to know when travelling around. Would definitely recommend!

Very nice hostel!! All the staff are very friendly especially Djana and Carla! Went on a day trip with them and as a solo traveller felt very comfortable :)

Not much.

Nice vibe in the hostel. Easy to meet other travellers. The volunteers are all lovely. Carla behind the bar was super friendly and fun. Good luck with your studies! Hi to George too!

Great hostel just a 2 min walk from town. Dorms were cosy and clean and with private fan in each bed. Good social atmosphere, easy to meet people in the dorm or at the rooftop. The staff were incredible and beyond lovely and helpful. I’d come back anytime 😊

Some of the bathroom door locks and hinges need fixing. The dorm I was in had no A/C and was very hot and stuffy. The exchange rate given at the hostel is very unfavourable. 1 USD = 525 colons. Try to pay where possible in USD.

Not a party hostel but very sociable. Lots of tour and transfer options. Breakfast was cooked fresh every day. Simple toast, eggs, ham and fruit. Bunks had individual reading lights and privacy curtains. The 6 bed dorm had an ensuite which was very clean and the shower has excellent hot water. The staff were great. Very communicative and facilitated early breakfasts for me twice (I had early tours both days) It's a 5-10 min walk from the centre of town. This is a pro and a con. It's a nice quiet area with ample street parking
