Unfortunately, the bathroom left a lot to be desired. The water pressure was poor, and the toilet water had a yellow tint, which was off-putting. We also encountered quite a few horse fleas, which was unpleasant.

The location was great—just a short walk to the beach and very conveniently close to a restaurant. The setup was a bit confusing at first since the reception is part of the restaurant, but the staff were very friendly and incredibly accommodating throughout the stay. There were plenty of seating areas and hammocks provided, which made it easy to relax. One of the highlights was a beautiful viewpoint on a cliff about a 10-minute walk away—definitely worth the short hike. The food at the restaurant was also quite good.

The standard of accommodation is fairly basic, and a little worn, but that really didn't matter, as it's all about the beach!!

At times the shadow's water heater did not work, but as the climate is really warm, we did not care, we used it right after the beach to wash the salty water away and even enjoyed the fresh cold shower =)

I loved the location as the property is right on the beach. We enjoyed our stay so much that we returned to the hotel although it is simple; but it has everything one needs. We loved listening to the sound of the waves and rain (when it rained), a unique experience. The hotel's staff is very friendly and helpful as well.

We had bottom left room. Top row windows cant be covered -> light from neighbouring bar was not a problem as we were off-season (june) and no people, hence no noise too. Very basic room. Restaurant/bar is a bit pricy taking advantage of location and no competition

Noisy neighborhood at late evenings - drunken people. poor English skills of restaurant waiters. Hotel parking area occupied by non guest visitors during the whole day.

Great location, straight on the beach. Tasty food in restaurant. Helpful personnel. Great place for a few nights with direct access to the beach. Free sunbeds available for guests, but You need to be on the beach pretty early to have them.

An absolutely beautiful location right on the beach in Arrecife/Punta Uva! It may not be the type of place for everyone, but it was perfect for me. The staff are warm, welcoming, and friendly. The food and service at the restaurant were great. The restaurant/bar were a hangout for the locals including the employees and their families which I love. Things close early (by 10 pm) so not a probelem for sleeping. It is a rustic place with no fancy amenities, however, the mattress was new, nice to have a mini fridge in the room, and it was clean, and comfortable. For those needing more amenities and fresh towels/linens every day, you may not want to stay here. As it is located right on the beach, it is very humid and so towels and bathing suits don't dry well if hung outdoors or in the bathroom. The A/C unit had a "dry" setting that I used and would hang my suits & towels in the bedroom to dry.

Unique accommodations, Friendly Staff, amazingly close to the sea. Better than most accommodations in this area : REAL, warm vibes, food and people. Not the usual hotel and not luxury, Arrecife is a family owned special GEM !

The room itself was very basic. Uncomfortable bed, mesh windows allowing mosquitoes to enter. Nice balcony though.

It was a smoking room and I am a non smoker with children, this was very inconvenient. We had trouble with the A/C and had to report it several times to get it fixed. Visually we had the palm trees and ocean in front but also an open maintenance area that was not well kept.

The breakfast was ok and the location lovely, right in front of the beach. The restaurant had very good food.

This was exactly what we needed. The location was amazing - right on the beach and the staff were fantastic. It wasn’t too busy with a relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast was delicious as was the food in general and the cocktails (including our welcome one!). The room had some frills - 2 fridges and very comfy new beds. We loved hanging out with the team and listening to the local Calypso band. I’d highly recommend this place for a laid-back low key beach stay.

Crowded, no parking, ac only cool at night, shower didn’t work, shoes and beach towels of mine were taken off my patio, coconut dented my car and my fish and lobster were terribly over cooked

Wow, best hidden gem! Rustic, but perfect. Make sure you ask for bungalow 1 or 2 when booking - those are the ones with cute hammocks and direct beach access. I can’t say enough about the staff. Everyone was so wonderful. Loved having the restaurant there to order food throughout the day. Thanks for an unforgettable stay! We even came back for a farewell lunch after we left.
