The doom room was really small. However, many places to store stuff on the balcony so it wasn’t really an issue. The road can be noisy - bring earplugs.

Very relaxing in the jungle and with the pool to lay in. Very chilled. Great spaces for socialising, working, chilling. Staff are super helpful and accommodating - I arrived early and was offered coffee and breakfast, no issue, very kind.

Amazing breakfast! Wonderful staff, especially Harold. We stayed in one of the bungalows and it exceeded our expectations. The pool is exceptional. Lots of other like minded travelers to talk with about their experiences.

Its quite a steep walk up to the hostel with your backpack, be mentally prepared. Not all hostel rooms have private plug and light by the bedside. The deluxe rooms do!

The vibe at the hostel and b & b is great. Breakfast is freshly made. Kitchen for personal use is well equiped. Staff are very kind and helpful. If you want to monkeys (steel your nutella pot) and racoons, this is your spot!

Staff was very friendly and helpful, but one of the receptionists gave me the wrong information that a tour I wanted to do probably wouldn't take place because there weren't enough people, which meant quite a bit of chaos and stress for me because I had to change my plans short notice to be able do another tour instead - and later it turned out that they had had enough people all along and the tour had taken place without me. The receptionist really seemed to try to figure it out for me, which I appreciate, so I don't really know what went wrong there but she clearly gave me wrong information. So stay at the hostel by all means but don't try to get tour information from them or book through them. Better talk to the tour agencies directly.

Pretty hostel. The dorm beds have hooks where you can hang your stuff and enough space for everyone's backpacks. Lockers. Friendly staff. Kitchen and bathrooms were very clean. Amazing breakfast!

Whether it’s the gorgeous pool, very friendly and helpful staff, or social atmosphere - I couldn’t recommend Luz En El Cielo highly enough :) It was also very close to town but still in a secluded area and made for a perfect home base in Montezuma.

Be aware of mosquitos all around the property- I sat on a chair for 30 mins one of the nights with a pair of shorts and came back with 10 lovely mosquito bites all over my leg. This is to no fault of the accommodation itself though. The shared dormitory rooms themselves are quite small, but the ample space outside the rooms make up for that. Also be aware that the accommodation is located on an incline a few minutes walk away from the city center; it wasn’t an issue for me but may be for someone who may struggle with walking uphill.

Breakfast was delicious and wholesome. Clean and beautiful pool which was great for cooling off during the daytime. Super helpful and friendly staff- shout out to Harold and the entire team honestly, they’re all great! Loved the large balcony area which was never too crowded. Ample area to hang up clothing to dry. Also loved how you can fall asleep to the sound of crashing waves from the rooms- so lovely.

A cosy and clean wooden house in the jungle, only five minutes walk away from the centre of Montezuma town. The staff was really friendly and always helpful. I wish I could have stayed even longer! Nice breakfast too!

Beautiful hostel in the middle of the jungle and few steps away from the center of Montezuma and the beach. The cabinas are well equipped and they have great view of trees and the sea. Staff are super friendly and kind, the pool is awesome and breakfast was very good.

Wifi did not work great in our room and the room was very very warm. But either way we did enjoy ourselves, it was not a big problem.

Lovely hostel, gorgeous pool and nice facilities! Location was a little walk up quite a steep hill from the main town, as we got the passenger boat we had our stuff to carry, but it wasn't too bad.

Mosquito nets around the bed would be nice since they wouldn’t leave me alone during the night. Top bunk has more air flow. Water cut off once in the middle of my shower but only lasted for maybe 15 minutes.

The owner Harold was amazing! He provided exceptional service to ensure I had a comfortable stay. 6 bed room door was spacious enough with a shared shower and toilet. There were more showers and washroom in the common space. Nice place to lounge around by the pool day or night, feels very safe, breakfast included, worked on my laptop for a bit and wifi was good.

A really beautiful place set amongst the jungle, the team there were very friendly and helpful. Minutes by foot from montezuma. Lovely and clean with a great pool. Would definitely go back.

Breakfast was a generous portion and well balanced. We rented the holiday home which was amazing, but was a little big for 2 people. I totally recommend families to try it out. The hotel is very close to the busy part of this amazing neighborhood which features many restaurants by the beach and other amenities.

We got really hot at night and struggled to sleep as the fans weren’t powerful enough. Air con would have been amazing.

Amazing location for montezuma, can walk to town in 5 mins. Lovely pool, lovely staff, breakfast included. We had a private room which was amongst the trees and was a lovely spot.

The rooms were a bit dark and there was limited space for luggage. The sofa in the communal area was a bit smelly I guess from guests sitting on it in wet bathers. The communal area was mainly wooden tables and chairs so not that comfortable for relaxing.

The pool and location were great. The staff were super helpful and very welcoming and friendly. They were happy to store my bag for early check in, helped me to top up my SIM and arranged my transfer. The breakfast was a welcome addition.
