Bed was squeaky and mattress a bit too firm for our preference.

Patio was lovely! Loved being able to use the washing machine and coffee pot!

Beautiful cabin with every convenience! This place was truly stunning and the most comfortable place that we've stayed in Costa Rica. (And the only place so far with a hot shower)

It was a great stay. I did confuse the code sent by Booking.com with a separate code they sent and had difficulty getting in the gate.

The cabin was cute and private. Everything was clean and AC worked great.

This was the most beautiful stay of our trip, wish it was longer. The cabin is big and the terrace area is just beautiful. Everything was very clean. The hosts were easy to reach. The quality for the money is awesome. Plus for the friendly kitty! The town was lovely to visit, great places for food.

Wish it was walking distance to town. Because of that it would be nice if host had a little milk/cream in the fridge for morning coffee/tea.

Great communication with host! Made sure we had all instructions needed. Hammock on deck was perfect! Great size and space for a couple, nice layout & private-seems larger than looked like in listing.

Private cabin, parking, hot water for shower, full kitchen and AC was on point ❣️ We LOVED that it had a washer in the cabin and the WiFi was so fast. Also the satellite had English Channels with HBO, etc. The view was gorgeous, near shopping centers for groceries, perfect location. We loved it and Karolina was a fabulous host. Definitely we will be back and recommend this gem. Thank You 😊

The cabin we stayed in at Hoya Azul is BEAUTIFUL! If you appreciate the beauty of natural wood, combined with great tile work, you should visit this place! The construction work is really interesting, real craftsmanship. The air conditioning unit in the bedroom made sleeping very comfortable, and kept the whole place cool. Good kitchen facilities. A washing machine, so we were able to clean our clothes, always a necessity in Costa Rica’s heat. Just down the road is the Diria Coffee Tour, which was really interesting. Great location for visiting nearby national parks. Great communication with hosts. Super secure, as the property is gated. Highly recommended

The location was good, house appliances etc are very modern, we got a room with a queen size bed and a bunk bed so the lodging is enough for 4 persons. Grocery stores are nearby and can be reached on foot and the bus station for long distance (to San Jose, Nicoya and few more destinations) is also nearby. What we like the most is because the owner has a good awareness of environmental protection. We're encouraged to do waste separation. All we need to do is to put our trash in the correct bins they prepared outside in the yard (6 bins) and they will take care of the rest. They have a charging station for electric vehicle and planned to install solar cells soon in the future. The owner is very friendly and helpful. The only thing that we can criticize is the WiFi. It's rather slow so that it's difficult for us to do our work which requires a fast and stable internet connection. I'm not sure if the problem lies on the network the provider had in that area to start with, or whether it is the problem of the router and the signal repeater. But altogether it was a nice stay there and I would recommend it without a doubt.

    Everything was fantastic, no complaints.

The owners made everything fool-proof with clear instructions provided where necessary in regards to accessing the property and using its facilities. The properties are incredibly well designed and built and had a very cozy atmosphere. They also used warm lighting in key areas over cool lighting, which really complements the woody theme of the cabin and ads to the aforementioned cozy vibe of the place. Hoja Azul offers incredible value for the money. You get way more than you pay for, and if I ever find myself in the area again I would book with them with no hesitations.

We really enjoy Hoja Azul for its tranquility. It’s a beautiful place to relax from stressful and demanding responsibilities. We would have like to sleep better in a king size bed as my husband is a tall 6”2 man. A double bed doesn’t cut it for us. However, the space is wonderful and we loved our stay. The host was very helpful and the kitchen is adequate for making meals - well equipped.

Only that we didn’t stay longer! we booked this place as a last minute stopover between La Fortuna and Montezuma. Now that we know how beautiful the surrounding area is, we will spend more time at Hoja Azul next time we’re in Costa Rica.

Everything!! This place is so beautiful and peaceful, set in a stunning rural part of the country. The cabin is really well designed with everything you need. i could chill on that hammock at the porch all day. The hosts were so lovely and very helpful

Our stay at Azul is easily in the top 5 best ever. Having travelled from San Jose through to Hojancha, to arrive in a town where there is no bars on anything and the area is so safe that people leave their front doors open, it was amazing. The hosts have clearly lived in Azul for a bit as everything is so thought through and conveniently arranged that it makes spending time there very comfortable and easy. It has all the utensils and items you need, with all the little extras like olive oil and teas provided that saves you rushing out to the shops. The place is very clean and well looked after, the bed was luxurious and the shower was perfect. The kitchen has plenty of appliances. The view from the porch is spectacular, one you could never tire of seeing, and the options to sit in reclining chairs or at the table for breakfast are all that you need. The hosts are so helpful and supporting. Our air-con remote ran out of batteries whilst we were there, so immediately the host sent somebody to provide us with fresh batteries. Every question we had was answered and helpful, and they even took us out to an incredible viewpoint that is an absolute must if you visit the area. I cannot offer enough praise for azul and it’s hosts, it has been a highlight of our time in Costa Rica and if we come back then we will be staying at Azul again.

Maybe an extra bin for recycling INSIDE the chalet as with only one bin everything goes in there and almost discourages recycling and separation.

Loved this place. Would have stayed longer were we not going to San José. Really helpful and relaxed hosts. Everything you need in one place. Beautiful decor. Comfy. Microwave and stove. Maybe bring some ear plugs though if you're a light sleeper as you could be woken up by neighbouring dogs or birds. 10/10
