Thank you Nuria for your review. I’m happy to hear you had a great stay and enjoyed yourselves in uvita. I am sorry about the mosquitos. I know at certain times of the day they can bother people. Some people have issues with them and others not at all. I also just wanted to clarify, I know these were while you were out and not inside your cabina. I know we do not get them inside since everything is very well screened. But again, when you are out and about, especially during the rainy season they are around. Again, it just depends on the person. I have people that are here. One person can have problems and the other person nothing at all. Sorry you were one that they went after. Yes, bug repellent is always good to have when traveling. Thank you again. Safe travels.

Dear Lucia, thank you for your review. Just wanted you to know. This has been the only time a guest has complained about our sheets or towels. Everything is always sanitized, washed by professionals and I actually have them in a special room so not to be near any other towels or sheets used for personal use. Only for the cabinas. I Just wanted you to know what we do to make sure our amenities are always nice for the guests. As I always mention when a guest mentions something in a review that could have been changed. If in fact you would have mentioned it to us, we would have changed them immediately with new sheets and towels. With our messaging to each other, as I do with all our guests. I always ask if everything is ok. So when guests do say everything is ok, or they do not tell me they are unhappy about something, it is hard to change something we do not know about. As far as the TV. It is stated on booking .com in our amenities that there is no TV. We are in the rainforest and having electronics in a cabina is challenging because of the humidity and rain during this time of year. It would be something that probably would have to be repaired constantly and we do try to keep our costs down for our guests. I am sorry we did not live up to your expectations. As we try to make sure every guest has a great experience. Again, thank you.

Thank you very much for the review. Not quite sure what you are referring to with cockpit. I’m guessing cabina. So the two nights you were here. There was only one single gal in one of the cabinas. Just one! The second night you were here. You had the place completely to yourself. Nobody here at all. So I’m a little confused. And I know that the single lady who was here was quiet. She was gone most of the day. But thank you again for the almost great review. My guest just lowered their score from 9 to 4 I probably would have not asked them about why the low scores. But seeing the 9, that was great. But along with the main score, there are individual scores and they had given me several 7.5’s out of a possible 10. That’s the main reason why the WhatsApp. To explain my guests comment about my asking them why the bad review on WhatsApp. When guest look me right in the face. Tell me they loved my place. Would recommend it. Would love to come back. Loved everything about it. And then I see the review with low scores, when my scores are very high, I asked for an explanation. And when they said there was noise from the other cabinas, when I only had one single lady in one and the others were empty. Of course I questioned it. I personally think that if I guest leaves comments or low scores, one would like to know why. I did not do the WhatsApp to upset my guests. It was more of confusion and frustration as to why she left the score and comment ahead of did. If guests do not tell me what is wrong and give me big smiles as they leave and telling me how great my place is. Of course I get concerned and want to know. Especially, as an owner, I am asking if everything is ok every time I see my guests. I’m sorry that they felt this way and i did not WhatsApp them to offend them or upset them. Just wanted to find out what the problem was with the low score. And if I did offend them, my apologies.

Thank you for your review. It’s interesting the low score on staff, which is me and the cleanliness. I’m sorry you felt it was not up to your standards. However it is funny that so many other guests before you have commented on how clean our place is. Also, I’m not sure why the low score for staff. I seem to remember I was always asking if everything was ok. I asked if you needed fresh towels or anything else. Every reply was things are great, “we love it here”. So hence the confusion on the staff low score. We do thank you for your comments and we also appreciated you staying here. Thank you! Scott

Thank you for the nice comments. I wish you would have said something about the shower head. A quick fix if I would have known. And it is only a five minute walk from my place to one of the entrances to the beautiful beach. I do have to add, you are the very first guest in 4 1/2 years that gave me the low score on value!!!! 😢😢 you might look at my past reviews just to give you an idea. The other thing is I’d like to point out about the value. I’m guessing you picked Cabinas D’Val because it had the amenities that you were looking for. Such as, Outdoor kitchen, private parking, private patios, ceiling fan, light and table/chairs on patio, air conditioning, kitchenette, microwave, safe, coffee and tea in the cabina and in the Rancho, luggage rack, drying rack, shower with hot water, very comfortable bed, and everything else you need for a great stay. Compared to other places near the beach, I believe we do outshine most of the others. Especially when most of my reviews are perfect 10’s. Again, just surprised. Thank you again.
