Beautiful 2 bedroom apartment right by the La fortuna waterfall and town. Back porch area is very nice and private. They have on site hiking and pool at the main cabinas and breakfast was great. Great for 2 small families or one big one. Hope to return soon!

very comfortable and affordable for a gang of five, two adults and 3 teenagers in a separate cabina. this family owned set of cabinas is situated close to the arenal volcano, our sightseeing destination. the breakfast served was of outstanding quality.

Two of the beds were comfortable but the other two not that much. The pool was not very clean

The family suites are down from the property and across the road, so a little bit of an unexpected walk to the pool and breakfast.

The cabins are well maintained and comfortable, the smaller rooms have balconies right into the trees which was very nice to enjoy morning coffee. The pool was large and clean, all the staff were super friendly and welcoming, the recommended restaurants for supper were perfect. They have beautifully maintained trail down to the river right on the property. And the property is right across from a chocolate tour!

The interior decoration could be rounded up with 2 chairs one table for the sofa and a hairdryer.

We stayed in the Delux Suites down by the river looking directly from our terrace into tropical forest with all its typical animal sounds at night. Quite an experience! We enjoyed it! The apartment very clean and spacious. Well suited for us.

A bit dark at night time getting back to the lodge. But all added to the jungle experience. Quite a distance from the town, but did have restaurants within walking distance.

We were given the new style lodge down the hill near the river. It felt like we were right in the jungle. Saw lots of wildlife from the balcony. Lovely pool Hot shower Had a hot tub on the decking Helpful manager/owner

Mom and I were very happy with our stay

We loved the hike to the river running through the property! Plenty of birds and wildlife. Good location in town - far enough away from the center of Fortuna but walking distance to restaurants and a coffee shop. Great wi-fi and TV service. And a delicious breakfast every morning! We requested to move from a 2 bedroom to a 1 bedroom with a king bed. I made a small comment that I was sad we didn't have a hammock in the king room, and next thing I know, there's a hammock hanging up on our porch!!! They went above and beyond. And were so kind :)

I loved the grounds and how close the property was to things. It feels remote and private but only takes a couple of minutes to get into town. I only spent a single night as a pass through to hit the Caribbean side of Costa Rica so didn't experience everything there was. It was also raining which was typical for Fortuna. The river walk below the cabins was also a nice add on which my mother and I took advantage of ahead of the long drive coming later that day. Lots of birds to watch off the balcony.

Everything was perfect!

Loved everything about our visit. Felt like family from the minute we walked in the door, and really enjoyed meeting other people during breakfast.

There is No common kitchen area. I misunderstood in the description that there was one.

The birds that come to the terrasse in the morning, the pool and the spacious hut with very big bed.

Allthought we booked a deluxe room, we were accommodated to a standard room, because there was no deluxe room available at our arrival. Luckly, we sorted this out the next day. The deluxe room is much better, so if you have a change i reccommed to book it. Otherwise it was lovely and close to the best restaurant in La Fortuna!

Great stay, if you are looking for a place to stay close to nature don’t look further. We got really surprised at check in that there is no AC and I was nearly nervous to stay with an allergic child. Air is so pure, it’s jungle mountain and no AC is needed, Not had much trouble with dust or mold, kids really enjoyed. Highlights of the stay is homily breakfast, cooked at host kitchen every day and what a real home coming feel and thank you for the wonderful hospitality.

The family that owns this property is wonderful. We loved our cabin and the pool. The tipico breakfast included is fantastic. The location is perfect. It's just close enough to easily get to everything in La Fortuna, but far enough out to feel quiet and secluded.

The first day we had no view from our balcony because of over grown trees. I had to request that the trees get cut down. The grounds were very nice but more effort towards grooming would improve the environment.

Nice room , private bathroom with hot water Decent breakfast The host Gabriel is friendly and helpful, has staff who arrange excellent tours Would strongly recommend the mystico bridges tour with Jose, safari float with Kevin, the nocturnal tour with JP Very professional and outstanding tours

Wonderful family run place. Gabriele was super friendly and helpful. And I enjoyed talking with the grandfather in the mornings. Very welcoming. The Wifi was good, but went out a few times, but not for long....only a few minutes here and there, but the signal was strong. There is a lovely cat that joined me each morning for pets. And they put food out so all kinds of colorful birds join for breakfast.

The WiFi is subpar.

The Cabinas were in a great location near La Fortuna and Arenal. The complimentary breakfast is interesting because of the wildlife that joins.

Best location, close to activities and town. Rustic cabin setting. Nice jungle view from hammock on deck. Choice of nice pool or cool dip in river running through the property.

It’s a bit of a walk into town, approximately 3k/2mile walk, and not the easiest

The room was very clean and had a wonderful deck that provided a view of the jungle and river below. Lots of birds singing and dancing

The WiFi is average if you’re worried about that

The location of La Catarata is excellent to access Arenal, the scenery is amazing and the birds are abundant.

Wifi was not dependable but it was adequate

It was quiet, comfortable, lots of beautiful birds, good breakfast, and kind hosts. I was able to walk to restaurants and stores. I also booked a lot of activities through them and was conveniently transported to and from there
