The place is exactly like on the pictures. I was greeded by a lovely staff member and the hostel is right by the beach. However I didn’t see a staff member the 3 days I was there and it felt a bit like a ghost hostel. It’s obvious that this is a money maker place, a bit of the same vibe as Selinas/Sociatel. As a solo traveller I won’t recommend this place, it’s mostly big groups coming here that are taking up the common areas and are extremely loud. There are other hostels in Santa Teresa that have the same facilities but are more social and welcoming.

Kitchen not very well organised, no towels for drying dishes, no lids on bins and no segregation of recyclables. A lot of the equipment old but usable. Yoga platform very dirty with dust from the road.

Great beach access right across the road. Lovely yoga platform. Useable kitchen. Not that noisy. Helpful and friendly staff. Good supermarket 5mins walk - although along busy road with no pavement.

Our bathroom had a broken window, and the kitchen was messy a lot of the time and is quite simple

The kitchen is basically useless. We stayed in low season and there was just not near enough cutlery, plates and pans etc for guests to use. Most of those staying and working there were long term residents and when we asked about the lack of amenities to cook in the kitchen the staff just told us they have the same problem and bought their own things. Kitchen feels pretty unclean as well. They could improve this by actually stocking the kitchen with enough items for the number of occupants to be able to use it if they wish and reinforcing a culture of cleaning up, not taking items to people’s rooms and putting signs up.

Staff v helpful before we arrived and supported us to book transport. Location is super close to beach and some cafes and restaurants. 500m from super market. Room had air con and hot shower plus a mini fridge which was nice as the general kitchen was pretty filthy and not much room.

The outdoor kitchen could have used some love. I know it is communal, but it was a bit dirty. I also did not have a blanket in my room. Maybe that is normal.

The room was very clean, and very well priced. The AC was cold and the Shower was hot. The property is beautiful and in a great location. For the price, I was super happy.

The whole place needs some maintenance: pool water was dirty, shower was rusty and dirty, common kitchen was dirty. The content of several trash bins was all over the place during the morning, probably because of the dogs of the staff. Staff was not that friendly, but also not too bad. Overall, still a great place to stay but a bit in need of an update.

Central location, nice common relaxing area, connected to a bar and a nice coffee place front. Spacious room with warm shower. Chairs and table in front of the room. Overall, we had a nice stay and fun.

Lovely social area, along with a good sized room. It was nice to have a fridge in the room as we were there 2 weeks and were able to get everything away easily. The kitchen also had everything we needed and was big and clean!

Kitchen was dirty, tiles in bathroom were not clean, at arrival they charged around 15% more than the booking price to pay with card. If you pay in cash, they calculate with a very strange ‘disadvantaged’ exchange rate, not the daily exchange rate.

Our air conditioning broke which was tough overnight as it was very hot. Some of our group were bothered by the noise from other guests at night [ general revelry] but with earplugs this was manageable and everyone was very friendly and good humoured.

The location is excellent . a very short walk to the beach . the staff were friendly and the cabins were clean and simple. we liked the shaded table and chairs outside each one. The rooms are simple , which we expected, but have air conditioning and fridge.

There was small gap under the door room so sometimes cockroaches or other insects came in. Someone also stole my surfboard leash here. Surfboard was outside so that was not hostel's fault.

Great common area with pool table and other games, swimming pool, sofas etc. Great place to hang out.

On the flip side, the dormitories are quite cramped, leaving little room for personal belongings, and the absence of lockers in the small closets raised some security concerns, despite the presence of numerous cameras. While others in the room seemed unaffected, I was seeking a more comfortable experience. Discovering the option to securely store valuables at the reception not just before departure would have been helpful. Unfortunately, the kitchen didn't match the cleanliness standards of other beautiful common areas.

Highlighting the positives, the communal spaces are fantastic! The staff is friendly, and the beachfront location is ideal for surfers and those who love being at the center of things. The live music in the attached restaurant during the evenings adds a delightful touch.

I loved staying at Cabina Playa. The common area is amaxing, surrounded by trees with big comfortable sofas. There's also biliards. The Bathrooms are clean, and the staff is very friendly

The location was perfect, right across the street from the beach entrance. The value of the room was 10/10! We really enjoyed the pool and the comfortable room with an AC. It's a really chill spot to hang out with your friends and cook a meal together.

The pool and common room are really nice, it is pretty and green and you can spot some animals there. The room was big and clean. The location is also great, near the beach and center.
