Canas was well located for our travel. The area around the hotel was really noisy late at night and early in the morning. The food was good and the staff very friendly

The air conditioner was not consistent. The front legs of the fridge were broken so we had to prop it up to open the door.

Close to shops and restaurants. Close to the bus terminal. Restaurant on site.

A little road noise, but expected being in a town.

The rooms were basic but spotlessly clean. Perfect for a night stop over between Liberia airport and la Fortuna after a late flight. Food was delicious and good value, and plentiful. Staff were very friendly and coped with my poor Spanish with great patience! Secure parking.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. Food in the restaurant is good. The first time we stayed here we had a room in the main hotel and it was very nice, spacious and clean. The second time we were across the street, the room was much smaller and very old. Everything was clean.

Water was only tepid. The pizza place across the street had live music that was loud. The singer got off key quit frequently but they stopped the music by 8.

Parking in courtyard by room. Restaurant had good food. Staff accommodating. Room adequate (don't expect the Hilton). Air conditioner worked great and quiet.

Pigeons on my roof at the crack of dawn. A/C seemed to kick on and off all night independent of programming. Needs a bed side table or a chair in the room.

Clean, convenient. Good price. Friendly staff. Has some old charm. Restaurant on site. If you don’t pay for the breakfast, which looked great, you probably cannot order breakfast normally in the restaurant. It was packed with guests having the add on breakfast.

The staff was very nice and the place is environmentally friendly. That was the first place we visited who was not using single use plastic, had their own well with clean water and solar planels. The location was great with everything you need at close walking distance and safe parking space for the car. Perfect place for a quick stop.

The bed sheets and towels, once white, were grey and washed out with yellow spots, as they were 10 years old. The pillows were old and lumpy matching the worn-up sheets and towels. No hot water, no warm water either.

The food at the hotel’s restaurant was decent. Friendly staff.

Room is very old as were the bed linens. No hot water in shower or sink. Bed was comfortable enough.

We picked this hotel as many reviews said that it was basic but clean. Unfortunately our room felt like it needed some elbows grease, mainly around the floor. But in need of rescue was definitely the toilet bowl that had not been cleaned outside. The shower was not very appealing either with cracked and dirty tiles, overhead shower which was coming off the ceiling had like black mould on it, the toilet door was filthy. The towels were yellowish/greyish and stained and so the pillows’ cases and they gave the impression that they were not clean. Also the door lock had been changed but the door looked like it could not locked properly, not to mention that the wood around the lock was all chipped and cracked and looked like someone had tried to break into the room. There was no hot water so we had to take a cold shower and the WiFi in the room wasn’t working which was quite frustrating because we needed to make online reservations for our excursions. We weee only able to connect to the WiFi if going into the restaurant area.

Location was great Carpark was good as in secured area Staff were friendly although when we arrived we felt we could have had a better welcome by the lady at reception. Breakfast was nice (paid separately as it was not included in the price we paid for the room)

The second room was much smaller, Aircon didn't work properly, the water was cold and bathroom door didn't shut. Both rooms smelt of damp and some stains on the linen.

We booked two double rooms. one room was upgraded to a triple room which was adequate and Aircon worked and water was warm. The food in the restaurant was delicious.

Everything was great.

The location is great, the staff is excellent! It is very convenient that the reception is 24/7 and that the hotel also has a restaurant. Especially Mr Wilmer from the hotel restaurant is very professional, kind and helpful. He made us feel so comfortable and had great advice. So thankful for him!
