Water was just warm in the double queen room, no hot water. I asked the staff if that was normal and they offered to let us shower in another room which was nice and the water was hot but not practical. Also it’s very noisy. Make sure to bring ear plugs for the traffic and restaurant noise.

The location is amazing, right on the beach. Beds were comfy and clean. Had all the basic amenities, towels, shampoo/conditioner/bodywash. View from the balcony was beautiful. Breakfast is simple but good.

Water pressure in our shower was non existent. Couldn’t shower properly during our stay. Noise was a big issue too. We had problem with loud music and loud talking- a paper wall would cancel more noise than what they have right now. We could hear absolutely everything that was going on in the adjacent room. Staff was friendly as mentioned but pretty inconsiderate of noice level talking around the hotel early in the morning.

Hotel room exceeded expectations. Room and bathroom were clean and in good condition. Beds/bedding were good quality, AC in the room, wifi worked well. Complimentary breakfast is simple but highly appreciated. Location in front of the beach is nice although Tamarindo beach is not the nicest. Morning staff was very friendly. At night they had a guy working surveillance on the property- felt safe. Parking in front of the property is good.

Our roll was directly in the lobby so it was very loud during the night as people stayed there and hung out. Also loud music playing during the night :/

The location of this property is truly unbeatable. Just steps away from the most beautiful beach in Tamarindo and only a short walk away into the "downtown" core. Plenty of shops, cafes, and restaurants nearby. The breakfast is simple but delicious and easily accessible on tired mornings.

Amazing location, just on the beach, with parking available in front. Waking up with the sea view is the best. The hotel has also a great surf instructor, Rashid. The staff was very friendly. The bathroom of the dormitory may need cleaning a bit more often during the day and, given the price, they should provide towels too. the breakfast could also be improved. Overall it was a great experience.

Not much to complain. Dorm made for a lot of people; also not many places to charge phone. Price a bit higher than many similar places in my opinion.

Nice place to stay. Liked that was near the beach and the city. Also had nice public facilities. Other facilities ok.

The small details that made it loose a point where: sofa bed needs to be reupholstered; a coffee maker in the room would be very nice; some of the kitchen utensils need to be renewed.

Beachfront, close to everything, very clean, good breakfast included, excellent service.

A little bit far from the center of the city, the restaurant nearby is really loud, we could hear everything that happened in the room above us (and outside).

Good looking room, the shower was great and clean including hot water. Great breakfast. Really close to the beach. The kitchen seemed to be clean and useful.

Our room was noisy on Friday and Saturday nights because of the loud music at the bar next door.

This is a great hostel, cool design, wildlife around and right on the beach. Really helpful staff too.

The stove burners were not working. Luckily Malena saw me struggling while I was trying to cook dinner. She went next door and borrowed a lighter. She had to hold it for a couple of minutes. Eventually, she got them working.

Beach front; volley ball court and outside work out station in the back of the hotel. The bathroom had clean towels, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Breakfast was good. Some residents have said basic, which may be true. Rice, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, bread, coffee and option of cereal. Refrigerator was clean. The staff (cook & clean) was kind. Both Malena and Edwin at the front desk were very accommodating and attentive.

The dorm room I stayed in didn't have hot water. Would have been nice to know ahead of time as it would have made a difference as to whether I stayed there or not. The A/C units worked sometimes and sometimes they didn't. Just a little hard to figure out. Nothing in the room or bathrooms to put anything on. Had to use my suitcase as a nightstand and to put my towel on when I took a shower. No hooks on the wall or anything. Also, no towels were provided at check in. I used my beach towel a few days to dry off after my shower. Noticed another guest had a towel so I asked for one at the front desk. Was given one then. A couple of days later my towel disappeared. I asked for another one and all they had to give me was a bath mat :/ Had a great balcony to sit on but only a couple of old metal chairs there. No outdoor furniture. The common areas had plenty of outdoor furniture and were nice. Just wish some had been provided so I could have enjoyed the balcony. This hostel has so much potential. I hope to come back another time and see a lot of improvements.

Great location on the beach and close to lots of food and shopping. The dorm room had a wall of windows looking out onto the beach. Great price of you're on a budget.

It is about a ten minute walk to the main restaurants and can be a quiet walk back in the dark alone. Not much of a social vibe if you are looking to meet others, but if you are looking to just relax it's perfect!

It was just what I needed at the time as I was looking for somewhere to relax and not be super sociable. It is right on the beach at the very far end so handy if you are just looking to go down to the beach each day and relax. The breakfast was included and was great, Gallo pinto, eggs and fresh fruit every morning with juice and coffee as well as bread and condiments. The restaurant next door had delicious food and you get a ten percent discount with your hotel band. The staff were also super friendly and were there to help with anything I needed at any time!

Unforttunately our room was right in the lobby and because of that it was extremely noisy all the time. Payment was only possible in cash, which I think should be improved.
