It’s close to a busy street, and therefore it could be a bit loud but for us it was not a problem.

Very friendly and helpful owner and staff! The room has everything needed. Safe parking available. You can use the pool. Everything was clean and tidy. I asked for beach towels and they were provided. It’s close to a big supermarket. It’s not far from Tamarindo center, for me well located between the beaches around Tamarindo.

Right around the pool you have what you need to prepare your food if needed/wanted, the fridge in the room is also very convenient.. and the room has enough space.. it's close to the beach and the movement. It was my second time there and I'd go back.

There are no blankets or bed spread, only a top sheet. Pillows are hard. Water pressure is too low for the shower head. Few places to put suitcases. Overhead light, and one small bedside lamp leave the other sleepers without light.

Generally quiet, even next to the highway. We were greeted by the owner's two teenage sons. Clearly managers in training. The kitchen beside the pool was well equipped for our breakfast of cold cereal. There is a hot plate and BBQ which we did not try out. Both beds were pushed against the walls. We were able to move the double bed away from the wall and use the side chair so both sides of the bed could have a bedside table of sorts. Towels are thick, soft.and absorbant. Shower is slow to heat but then warm.

Access to the property is from a busy street and can take a bit of skill.

The owners are friendly and accommodating. They gave me great recommendations for places to visit. The property is gated and feels very safe, and provides a nice respite from the hustle and bustle of the town. My room was very clean and comfortable. The room had a refrigerator, the shared kitchen had the equipment for making simple meals or reheating leftovers.

Water pressure in the sink was a bit low. Didn’t have conditioner in shower but we could’ve asked for it and we chose not to.

Beautiful room. Liked how private and safe it felt. Owner is extremely nice and helpful. Definitely would stay here again if we went back to Costa Rica.

Muchas gracias to the owners from Hotel Casa Carlota. The Hotel is near from Tamarindo, but you may be need a car to go there. For us it was perfect far away from the trouble. But its close to a supermarket. The room was very clean and we had enough space. You also have a fridge and a coffeemachine. We used the kitchen outdoor in the cooking area for the breakfast. There‘s also a swimmingpool, which was cleaned everyday. The owners are very friendly and they also give us good suggestions. Just small issues and suggestions really. The design of the rooms means the patio was the only natural light into the room; but, the curtains often had to be closed for privacy. Perhaps a light inner curtain or voile would solve this. There was lots of shelf spaces but a couple of suitcase stands and some more hangers would be useful. Also, a way to indicate if cleaning is required, such as a sign for the door. Tea and milk or creamer would also be a nice addition. None of these is a reason not to stay at this wonderful place. It would be a score of 9.5 if possible.

This place is fabulous. It is really thoughtfully designed. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. Communication before and during the stay was excellent and helped us to find the place in relation to bus stops. The room was very clean and modern. The bed was comfortable and both sheets and towels were fresh and white. Fridge and coffee maker provided. The bathroom was cosy, but perfectly acceptable with a good and hot shower. Plenty of shelves and hooks. The hotel grounds are very secure and there is a nice pool area plus hammocks outside the rooms. It is across the road from a supermarket, 10 minutes walk to local restaurants and a bus or taxi ride to Tamarindo itself. It is convenient enough in its location to make it a really good value stay when compared to alternatives. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed everything.

The hotel is not actually in Tamarindo, it's in Villarreal, which is very close to Tamarindo. It has a gate, so your car and valuables will be safe. Each room has AC and hot water. Bed was comfortable and clean. There's also a swimming pool which was cleaned every day and a cooking area for guests. The owner was friendly and sent us lots of suggestions on Whatsapp. Good value for money since everything else was fully booked for the BPM festival. Close to supermarket and restaurants.

It was very loud. Hard to sleep with the busy road and traffic noise all night

The main problem was the noise from the cars! I'm not sure if it was just our room that wasn't well insulated, but the hotel is located on a busy street, and the sound of cars was non-stop. The large sliding doors just weren't up for keeping that sound out. Bring earplugs if that bothers you.

We didn't use many of the facilities, because we were here only for a short night, but they seemed to have a lot to offer. It was overall clean and simple and well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful.
