We had a great time at Casa Federico. The views are incredible of the ocean and wildlife. We had Parakeets come visit us every day. We had just one hiccup when the A/C unit started making a loud noise. We called Rey and he was on it immediately. He told us he was going to install a new. We went out on our adventures for the day and when we returned the problem was solved with a new unit. Great job and thank you Rey and Casa Federico!!!

The roads/paths to the property are very steep, however, this didn't really bother us at all, but may be an issue for some.

The apartment itself was amazing, it was spacious, had 2 hanging chairs so you could sit and look at the view if the ocean. The property was surrounded by trees and plants, where we could see Hummingbirds, a couple of macaws and the monkeys which visited the apartment in the morning and the evening. Frederico the host was helpful and was easily contactable if you needed anything. The property gad everything we needed. The location was perfect for us, only 15 minutes into town. Highly recommended

The living room is always “open”

Magnificent sea view from our room. Having a beer in the hanging chairs with sea view was great. Very spacious living room. The living room and indirectly the bathroom are in an open area, which can’t be closed. The sleeping room can be closed by doors and have an airco. Monkeys are around the location, very nice.

The location has a very nice view of the Marina, but it was spoiled during our trip by a big crane and the construction going on. There was a lot of noise and so many lights on the construction sight that it was annoying.

The facility we choose only had A/C in the bedroom, we had extended our stay and chose to stay here close to the marina. The drive to the house was a bit treacherous but we enjoyed the stay.

Truly beautiful apartment where we spent three nights with pleasure. Beautiful location with fantastic sunsets and macaws and woodpeckers flying around. It’s steep uphill, but very much worth it! Good parking.

No provided breakfast. It is difficult to find. That was frustrating.

The view was amazing. It overlooks the marina and you have an excellent sunset view of Quepos. Beautiful. Rey is one of the most accommodating host i have met.

Access is up a steep hill, but it took no more than 10 min to walk up. The open terrace would not be suitable for young children.

Lovely view across the marina and the sea with wonderful sunsets, and wildlife to watch around the house. Raymar was very helpful in organising trips and providing information updates. Mosqito net on the bedroom door and air-con in the bedroom made it very comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped.

Nothing everything was great.

Rey was an amazing host, went down for 5 nights with my wife on our honeymoon and Rey treated us like family. Anything we needed or somewhere to go he was always there to help. If i could rate him and the place more I would. 100% recommend to anyone going to Quepos and going to Casa Federico. Beaches and other sightseeings are minutes away driving or taxi. Everything was convenient!

Unfortunately this place is misssold as bedroom and living room, but it’s not true and we were left with one bed in the outside terrace we’re it’s packed with insects and bugs, not too mention monkeys . The host shrugged shoulders and said but you would wake up with the sound of the ocean. The construction site nearby woke us up at 5am every day after a few hours sleep because of tin roof above the bedroom and twigs and other debris falling off the trees above. Wouldn’t recommend this place

I didn't like that the whole place didn't have AC. Only the small bedroom had AC. I probably would not have booked the place had I known it was open to the outside, no living room wall. It was unsettling using the bathroom with the outside 15 feet away.

I love the view and the space of the apartment. It was clean and updated.

The pictures on Booking.com are not the place we were given. I don’t usually pick homes but it looked nice. We stayed in an entirely different place next to the place from website. We left a day early. There were no dishes for a family. The drive to the place is terrible and no way you’d want to walk it.

The pros- The view is amazing. The location was close to town which was nice for getting places. The communication with Rey was great until it wasn’t. He organized a tour to Manual Antonio park, which was great. After one night, I texted Rey that we were unhappy with the accommodations due to the fact that was not what was advertised (see below), he mentioned that he did have another apartment that did have AC throughout but it would be an extra $100 in addition to what we were already paying for. The cons- The description of this place does not match what the place actually is. It is advertised as “this air-conditioned apartment features 1 living room, 1 separate bedroom and 1 bathroom” and that is not true. The bedroom has AC. The rest of the apartment, the living room, the kitchen, is outside with no AC. Even the bathroom is outside. Because of the heat and humidity in Manual Antonio, we were unable to hang out in the living area as there is no AC there. This place would be perfect for someone looking for a Glamping experience (glamourized camping) as that is what it is like. Also, there is a lot of road noise at night. The kitchen has minimal utensils, the coffee maker did not work as well as one of the floor fans. Only after we left did Rey offer to give us the other fully air conditioned apartment without the extra charge of $100. If you know what you are getting (an apartment that is mostly outside in nature) you would like your stay here.
