It’s a cozy and relaxing place close to the beach and to the town centre. Chiara and Ray keep it clean and well maintained and they are always happy to help you and recommend places to visit or to dine in :)

Nada. Perfect!

The best accommodation we have stayed in Central America. Not only are the cabins beautiful, clean, comfortable and private; but the hosts are a really delightful couple who always go the extra mile. There is a fully equipped kitchen and each room has a fridge. Bikes are available to hire as well. Good AC available which helps with the humidity. It's only a very short walk to the beach. The bus stop to Puerto Viejo is also nearby and parking is available if you have a car. We cannot recommend this enough.

We have travelling Central America for the last 3 months and has Casa Luce has honestly been one of our favourite places to stay. The common areas and facilities are really well cared for and the rooms are perfect. Aircon , warm shower and a comfy bed, what more could you ask for.

Such a lovely and welcoming place. The accommodation is very clean, spacious and the hostess thought of the smallest things to make sure you will enjoy your stay. The bed was extremely comfortable as well, I regretted I only booked one night and would definitely recommend Casa Luce!

Nothing to say, everything was perfect.

The place is beautiful, of course, but what really makes this place special are the owners Chiara and Ray (and the cutest little dog Luna!). The moment we walked through the gate we felt at home, they were so welcoming. Not long after we arrived they showed us a sloth who lives in the tree in their garden, very special. We rented bikes to get to the town easily, one day the saddle bent (due to rust being coastal), we messaged the owners when we got home and it was fixed within minutes! Chiara and Ray are available to message if you need anything, but they give you space to enjoy your stay. We ordered breakfast on our second day, and it was wonderful - they catered for my dietary requirements (gluten free and vegan) perfectly. Everything they do, they seem to put so much care into, which I think is what makes this place so special. The room was comfy and clean, and the decor was beautiful. The outside area is also lovely, with a variety of seating areas and beautiful lighting. The shared kitchen space is also lovely, with tea/coffee facilities and a fridge for each room. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. The whole space also felt safe. It was wonderful waking up every morning to the sounds of the wildlife. Would come back in a heartbeat.

Everything! The interior design, the friendliness of our host couple, Luna the dog, the calmness of the place (it’s a little bit far of the center but you can have bikes for rent which is pretty easy and the fact you’re being a little bit out of town makes everything so peaceful : city noises are replaced by the nature ones.

30 minute walk from the town- which is nice as the walk is along the beach. However, this can be more tricky if the weather is wet and/or you don't have a car. Thay being said, Tuk tuks are affordable and readily available from town.

Really nice modern apartment with fantastic kitchen facilities. Owners are friendly and very helpful on WhatsApp. They also have bikes you can rent which is handy for getting aroundm Luna, the dog, is also great. Thanks for a great stay.

One of the best accomodation in CR.Casa Luce reflected all of love from Chiara and Ray. They are amazing host and you feel staright away "home away from home".They will go far and beyond for their guests which at the end go home as their friends. Very good location, close to the beautiful beach Playa Negra and downtown. Do not worry if you haven't book any activities in advance, Chiara and Ray will help you with everything. 1-The fact that they make you pay in cash or pay 12% more was disturbing. 2-The city is a little far on foot (20 min)

The pair were very nice and open and friendly. The place is designed and constructed beautiful and comfortable (the container/ room is a little small). The kitchen is perfectly equipped. Water is available. There is a beach beside and some times a slot on the trees.

It is around 25mins walking to the downtown Puerto Viejo so is better to rent bikes or bring your own transportation.

The rooms are actually containers, and there is very little privacy. In order not to be visible from the common area, we had to keep the curtains closed: so it was either privacy or light. There wasn't much noise insulation either. The shower could use a drain cover and warmer water.

The owners, Ray and Chiara, are wonderful, very kind and helpful. The decoration and ambience of the entire place, and especially the common areas, are beautiful and very welcoming. The kitchen is well equipped, and we appreciated the drinking water and the mini fridge that we could use, as well as all the dishes and cooking necessities. The A/C works really well. The parking spot within the gate was also very convenient. The location is close to the town and the beach, especially by car. The property is surrounded by nature, housing wildlife including a sloth.

The rooms are very cozy and clean. The bed is very comfortable and you have a great view into the garden where you might spot a hummingbird. There is a shared kitchen that has everything you need including your own mini fridge.
