Not a thing.

The owners were especially accommodating. They even picked us up at the bus station and transported us there at the end of our stay. They also arranged a special rate for snorkeling with a nearby company. The cabin was clean and charming, the bathroom was fairly large, and the landscaping is amazing. We saw toucans up in the trees from the front porch on the first day we arrived! Casa Marcellino is located a short walk from the beach and various amenities, including the national park entrance. I wish we could have stayed longer!

Everything was wonderful.

We loved our stay here! The gorgeous cabin was very clean, the owners are very helpful and kind, the grounds are really, really pretty and the location was perfect for us. It also feels very safe.

Comfortable wooden houses in a beautiful garden, where in addition to dogs and cats, you can see different kinds of animals if you watch quietly early in the morning. I photographed these animals while sitting on the terrace.

We like this place so much that we have returned since first being here two years ago. Marice and Luciano are wonderful hosts. Their property is a jungle oasis close enough to town but far enough to be removed from any of the noise. The place is immaculate, both inside the bungalows as well as within the well tended and manicured grounds. Home to sloths and other interesting creatures. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you may need to cook your own meals. WiFi connection is strong and consistent. Ample places to park if you’re bringing a vehicle. Support staff is friendly and always smiling.

A few enhancements could make this accommodation even better. We would have liked filtered drinking water and some coffee, as there is a coffee maker available. (We bought coffee in town.) Additionally, the walkways to the cabins and porches would benefit from motion-sensor lighting, as it gets quite dark when walking from the entrance to the cabins at night. Lastly, while this isn’t the property’s fault, we had an unfortunate experience with a nearby bar playing loud dance music until 3:30 a.m. on Saturday night. This was especially challenging as we had a long drive ahead of us on Sunday.

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Marcellino.The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful.  The small, clean cabins are set in a beautiful tropical garden, a 15 -20 minute walk to town.  My husband and I stayed in a cabin that has two bedrooms, a bathroom, a small well-stocked kitchen, and a lovely outdoor porch. We felt this cabin was well-suited for two people because we could use one small bedroom to store our luggage and clothing and slept in the other small bedroom. (This cabin would be tight for two couples -4 people - to share.) There were plenty of outlets to charge our devices and wifi was strong. Parking was easy and secure.

We loved it here (and even extended our stay)! Well equipped kitchen, very clean, owners are very friendly and helpful, we felt very safe. We travel with small kids and they loved it too. It is very close to playa negra, a couple of restaurants are close and about 15 min walking to the center. Walking distance (20 min) to National Park. The outdoor shower to rinse off after a day at the beach is a plus! All in all a great place!

Wonderful hosts and lovely dogs and cats. The setting is amazing, small wooden lodges in a beautiful, tropical garden. 2 minutes walk to the beach and local restaurants. Easy to walk into Cahuita and the national park. Lodge very comfortable, clean and equipped.

A very warm welcome. Luciano provided a map and location of best shops and restaurants. Marice was very friendly and introduced us to the dogs and cats. The cabin was very well equipped and comfortable with everything we needed. The beach was very close and it was an easy walk into town and to the national park. There are very good restaurants on the coast road a short walk away.

The house was small but very well equipped and clean. The property is very well maintained and private. The location is excellent at less than 5 minutes walk from the beach and an excellent restaurant.

Very nice bungalow with full Equipment kitchen and big bathroom. Silent place and a nice garden where you can see different kinds of animal in the morning when you have breakfast on the terrace. The owner life there and when you need anything the help you with all. It Was one of the best place in CR where we stay. Chauita is a traditionell place and ypu have nice Restaurants next to the bungalow orjust 15min the walk to the Center. Puerto Viejo is much expensive and to bussy with a lot of people. Good for visit for one day.

There was nothing not to like. The location pf the cabins is close to the beach and to tne town of Cahuita. Everything was awesome.

Not much. The only thing I can mention is the nearest grocery store is a walk.

The host were incredibly nice and caring. You could tell they were personally invested and cared deeply about the property. The yard and house was well maintained with interesting flora. Location is nice, by the beach yet secluded and quiet.

Absolutely nothing

Everything was super perfect. That little house was very charming. The kitchen well equipped. The location amazing, close to the beach. In the morning you hear the monkeys. The owner are the sweetest people and very helpful… every second day is a cleaning lady coming… we definitely will go back there during our next travel

Nothing, it was perfect.

Casa Marcellino is a peaceful oasis in the beautiful town of Cahuita. The most beautiful tropical garden where you can observe lots of birds and some other wildlife. The cabinas are spacious, clean and very comfortable. The lodge has an excellent location close to playa negra and the town centre. Luciano was very welcoming and accommodating. He gave us a map of Cahuita and explained to us where everything was. We truly had the best time and would love to come back. Our only regret is to not have stayed longer!

Everything was perfect, absolutely no complaints!

The property has been beautifully landscaped and is so well taken care of. Gorgeous shrubs and trees that are well established and flowering all the time. It was quiet and felt so safe and secure. The owners are so friendly, and greeted us with fresh coconuts. All the staff are warm and kind, the gardener and housekeepers were so happy and full of smiles. Every time our cabin was cleaned housekeeping would put fresh flowers around our cabin, and it was such a wonderful touch. So close (3 minutes) to two beaches and restaurants, and a short walk into the cute little town.
