How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

There are three dogs that live on the property, we were woken up multiple times every night to the dogs barking.
We were sorry to see that you were not very happy with your stay with us . It would have been much more helpful all around if you had mentioned the issue with the dogs interrupting your sleep . We are very sorry about this . Seeing you didn't say anything about it out of the five nights you stayed with us , mentioning it afterwards and making a point of giving us a poor rating due to it does not help anyone out . If any future guests are reading this , please let us know during your stay if there is something that is a problem so we can take care of it for you rather than waiting until after your stay and taking your frustration out on a review and rating . Once again this does not help anyone out in the end .

Verified reviewlovely place in side jungle, you can hear monkey, macau and other birds voices, in the morning, breakfast great huge fruit plate, room is small, no tv, no air con, but there fan it works, 15 min walk to beach,
I see some bugs and ants in room, bed sheets are not super clean there is some stain you need a tik tok or call taxi to town, or catch bus

The staff and owners were wonderful and very helpful . Nice big common area with a shared kitchen with a great chilled vibe .This will be my go to place when I return . A+ !

Verified reviewThe placement of the hotel was very nice, just in the middle of the jungle, close to the Caribbean sea and with very nice and helpful staff. Big reception space with a lot of places to rest.
The room we had was very dark and small (appx 8-9 m2). It had one window to the reception, so we kept it closed including the wooden shutter to keep the privacy and the other to a backyard which was not very nice, the wooden shutter was opened inside the room above the bed, so my husband has hit himself several times. We know that to keep cleanness in the jungle with high humidity is not easy, but anyway we think it should be better than our experience.

Verified reviewReally nice and welcoming and positive host. The kitchen had everything you can imagine, including a good blender. Lovely 3 dogs and 2 cats. Andi gave us very good recommendations for restaurants, swim and snorkeling spots with coral reefs. We even got a room upgrade. Everything is very clean. Nice breakfast with fruits, yummy pancakes and eggs. It's surrounded by nature and animals.
The lights in the room could be brighter. The water in the bathroom (shower and sink) does not smell nice. The stuff starts chatting in the morning, if you want to sleep till 7/8 o'clock it's a bit disturbing.

Verified reviewThe staff is always able to assist you and there are big dogs keeping safe the property. It's very quiet and peaceful.
It would be helpful to know before arrive that there is a full equiped kitchen in place able to be used, including microwave and refrigerator. Also, if it's raining the water gets dirty, so it's useful to buy a gallon of water before arriving, if you are a water-drinker.

Verified reviewVery friendly couple own the place. Very cute living space, with super friendly dogs and in full nature. Close to beaches and supermarkets.
The internet was an issue 8 days out of 14 but it was not their fault. The water went missing a couple of days but it was quickly fixed and I got the last night free to make up for the disagreements.
