It was my first hostel in costa rica and it was amazing. The owner was really nice, friendly and helpful. We had a big room with a bathroom. In the morning we got a really good breakfast in the beautiful garden. Would defenetely recommend it!

Perfect stay close to the airport - room was clean and comfortable. The area felt safe and it was easy to find with a car. It’s definitely worth getting the breakfast - Maria is a fantastic cook! Only stayed for one night but it was a great place to start our Costa Rican holiday!

The light at the front door is shining through the glass and it will wake you up, so bring a sleeping mask.

The apartment was great! Maria sent all the information prior to arrival. I arrived at 01:30 at night due to a delay and could find the apartment by taxi easily because of het instructions and the name on the entrance fence. I had my own bathroom which was amazing considering the time and the long travel day. Would recommend!

I couldn’t find any glasses to have water and some announced facilities such as ‘bath’ rent available (no plug to be able to have a bath). You will have to arrange uber to get there

Lots of kids going by on dirt bikes at night made for a noisy time sleeping at first. Quieted down later.

We did not get to meet the host until the next morning, due to our very late arrival at the property, but that is not their fault. We got to our room, had a glass of wine to celebrate our arrival and retired for the evening.

The breakfast was simply amazing. Home made and delicious!! Our hostess was wonderful and easy to talk to. Since our stay was only 1 night, (arriving late and leaving mid morning) it's hard to rate the property on other aspects, ie: proximity to attractions, shopping, etc. It was very quiet and peaceful. Our room was one of the smaller ones - so would like to experience their larger rooms on a future visit!

Property was clean and very well presented, and much needed after two weeks in hostels haha. Only thing we were unsure about was the door to our room locking downstairs (as the room was upstairs through the reception) but we were able to lock it and open it in the morning.

Property was beautiful and the house decoration is stunning. Its in a quieter area which we wanted, but still only a short 25-20 minute walk to the busier areas. The facilities were very clean and the host was so lovely, she let us leave all our luggage after our check out and return at 3pm to change / eat which was really appreciated as our flight was 6pm.

The sink had barely any pressure almost no water came out. The room was old and the bed was small but for a one night stay was perfect and super close to many restaurants and the airport

Nice breakfast on a patio in the garden. The room was comfortable with a nice decor, stylish furniture and big bathroom. Very friendly host who speaks very good English. The house is full of character and very convenient for the airport and car rental in Belen. Thank you Maria for you hospitality.

The name of the place could be lit up more on arrival in the evening, as at night didn’t see which was the entry to the place from the main street (however asked some locals and found it easily)

Casa Stella was very clean, pleasant stay, comfortable bed and other facilities. The host was also friendly and clearly communicated the instructions how to get into the property. Very good location, 10 minutes to the airport. Overall great stay.

Being upstairs our room was warm, but by the time we went to bed it was nice.

Home stay atmosphere, with small child who was super friendly. Private top floor. hostess is a chef. Timely food, garden full of fruit trees and orchids close to airport. Hostess spoke good English, welcomed us to use her as a resource in our future travels.
