The location cannot be beat - directly across from the ocean and a short walk to grocery/bars/restaurants! We had a room on the second floor and ended up having the ocean view patio to ourselves. These are basic accommodations, for example there is no air conditioning - but the room was clean, the bed comfortable and the owners are kind.

A ceiling fan instead of a portable one would help with the heat during the day and at night. Having said that, the portable fan did blast all kinds of air around the room, which was much appreciated.

The room was super clean, the high ceilings made for a good circulation of air, and the beach was right across the street. Blanca was very friendly, professional and warm, and the hotel had a great family feel to it. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

Beautiful beach front property right near centre of town. Large spacious rooms, with large windows that open right out to the ocean. Great location - walking distance to both town and Montezuma waterfalls. Well equipped/clean shared kitchen.

I mentioned already that we would've loved AC in the room as it was pretty stiffling- but the good news is- absolutely NO BUGS. We have yet to encounter mosquitos.

Casa Susen is located right across from the beach and is so grand with its tall pillars and long staircase up to the grand patio where Susana's mother sits at her table to check in guests. We were in room 1 so I don't know what the rooms in the other buildings were like, but our room gets full sun (hot) and you can watch the sunrise with your coffee rocking in the chairs on the patio. The communal kitchen was nice. Susana booked our boat tour with Zuma tours to Tortuga Island and it was so seamless- we paid her mother with our room and just met the group on the beach. We arrived from driving from Santa Teresa just in time so it was nice to have our ticket with Zuma secured. We pampered Americans prefer our AC so my only complaint is how hard it was to sleep in 80+ degrees with only 1 fan for the whole room. We stayed on a Friday night and there was a party in town- a DJ with really good speakers! They played after the local musicians finished after 9pm and they rocked the house music until after midnight. My teen and 24 year old son loved it though and they hung out with the party crown until 1 am- I did not worry as it is very safe here. Maybe bring earplugs- the sound carried and it was loud. I even heard it when I woke up at 3am, but it was turned down. I loved the location, but pretty rustic for the price.

Well located, a 3 minute walk from town, Casa Susen is a tranquil lovely place to stay. It is right next to the beach and you can hear the soothing sound of waves all night long. We upgraded to a room on the highest floor of the top building (room 207) that had a kitchen, hot water, and a dining table & chairs outside on the large balcony and we were very pleased that we did. The kitchen was great! and also saved us some money when we felt like having a lazy morning and eating breakfast on the balcony at home since the view is superb. Blanca is a great host!! She is helpful, kind, and easy to interact with. There are fans in the room. Bathroom is good and water is hot (not a lot of water pressure though). There is a fridge in the kitchen and a gas stovetop for cooking. All pans, crockery, cutlery, chopping board were provided. We loved our stay and ended up extending it for 4 more days. This is a great place to stay. Loved it.

Casa Susen is a slice of heaven, we had a wonderful time staying here for three nights. The room was fully equipped with a kitchen, fridge, fans and wifi. The terrace area was lovely to sit out on and watch the thunder and lightning storm and we enjoyed the peace of the surrounding area. It’s a perfect location with a beach across the road and plenty of bars and supermarkets less than a five minute walk away. The room was cleaned on the second day and the lady was lovely from the start to the end of our stay. Secure parking too.

The wifi was not working for a couple of days. Another improvement would be to take professional help to redesign and remake the ground of the hotel with less scrap and ground and more green areas and flowers. That would higher the value of the hotel.
