It was on a scenic little gravel road. Lots of plants around and the buildings were very pretty

The owner only accepts cash. The parking area is very small and hard to navigate; the back patio smells odd and was minimally furnished. We looked at 3 different studios at Casas Guaney and all smelled heavily of mildew. The room we chose turned out not to have working AC and the owner was slow to communicate about/resolve the issue. It was unbearably hot and we chose to drive home to San Jose rather than stay the night here and hope the issue got resolved. We requested a refund but got no reply, and as we paid cash before we realized the issue there seems to be no recourse.

Amazing property. Great location. I woke up at 5:30am to the loud sounds of a Puma, as if it was in the backyard. Macaw’s are in the front yard. Rocking chairs and hammocks are a good addition. Very very very spacious room. Comfortable beds with kitchenette, kitchen ware, fridge, microwave etc… overall a great great stay.

Lizards inside the room and bathroom. But it’s understandable because its right next to a national park.

Beautiful fully equiped large studio surrounded by nature Wake up to bird song from the rainforest. We even saw howler monkeys on our last day here. Lovely deck with hammock and rocking chairs. Fully equiped kitchen with free coffee. Easy access to Manuel Antonio, by car 5 mins, by bus 10 mins. Safe and secure. Definitely recommend.

The location was perfect, near to Manuel Antonio park as well as to restaurants and the town. In the garden and nearby the studio we saw more animals (monkeys, sloth, ara, tucans) than in park :)!

Professionally decorated. On the surface it was beautiful. Rocking chairs on porch were nice. Secure parking (2 cars). Newly renovated. Not far from park by car.

The 2nd bed was horrible. We booked 2 beds and there was only one on arrival. We contacted the owner who came by, pulled out an old mattress that was stored on the floor under the bed put it on the “pull out” couch with a sheet and said that was it. No top sheet. See our photos. Not what was pictured on booking. Response was they needed to update the photo. Got many bug bites sleeping on it. Terrible mattress that collapsed in the middle. Pillows were old, and insufficient on both beds. No extra blankets. Owner wasn’t there to greet us although we had arranged a time to meet and we arrived exactly at that time. Enough coffee for half a pot total although we stayed 3 days. It is between two towns so a car is needed to get to either Quepos or Manuel Antiono, which we had; but if you have no car walking is steep and precarious. We could hear people talking in adjacent room.

I liked pretty much everything. Very unique and cozy place to chill for a week in Manuel Antonio. My unit was filled with lovely artwork which gave it a somewhat spiritual vibe - very impressive interior decorating. There was also an attached deck with a beautiful garden/ jungle view. It was a joy to sit out there at night and listen to the music of the jungle. The host was personable, informative, and welcoming. My unit had an upper and lower level with a very fun spiral staircase connecting the two. One of the most amazing experiences I had here was seeing two macaws on or adjacent the property, which I later learned are nesting there. Amazing! I would definitely stay here again if I’m lucky enough to return to Manuel Antonio/ Costa Rica.

    Nada.

The beautiful garden and view from the room. The bed and the shower were very comfortable.

The owner did not welcome me, there was just contact via the chat. That would be a nice addition!

This property is reasonable value, it's just nothing special, and we stayed in some lovely places on our travels through Costa Rica, so were perhaps a little spoilt! It's perfectly ok though if you are looking for something basic. Room 1 is large and very spacious, there is a decent large fridge and the kitchen was well stocked with all you need, even a blender Aircon and fans were fine The other flat (room 3) that our daughter and her boyfriend were in was modern, with a good bed upstairs and modern bathroom. There is a good veranda with a hammock and rockers

I think each property is a little different, ours (room 1) had 2 beds and was rather tired with an ancient cooker, the beds were very basic and not particularly comfortable, old fashioned sheets with no mattress protectors on, plastic flowers and a rather scary looking native Indian head on the wall. The bathroom was ok but had a suicide shower. The curtains didn't keep out the light and windows were really dirty. The lighting in both flats was very stark and minimal with cold white bulbs, and the fridge in room 3 wasn't cold enough

Loved the bar and restaurant right there and a path to the beach. Loved being able to just walk down the street to shops, other restaurants.

Heard loud music from bar/ restaurant til 10pm.

The 2pc bath next to the loft bedroom was great. Well equipped kitchenette which we did not use this time, as time was short. Great AC shower and outdoor areas. Nice secure parking. Bed comfortable.

Bed could be larger, the space can take a queen or two beds, and better spot for luggage/clothing. The sitting area could be more comfortable or set up for sleeping, we were two friends and may have used it as a second bed if more ready access to extra bedding.

Everything . Room huge and well furnished with kitchen and dining table as well as 2 beds . Shower was great . Hot water , storage off the bedroom for clothes and suitcases . Outside area and use of washing machine and drying line . Flexible with payment when I could not get cash . Friendly owners . Very responsive

The walk from the bus stop a little precarious at night . No fault of Accomodation but no pavement and big ditches for drainage and quite dark down to the property . The road property on was fine though !

A lot of space, super confortable, I was traveling alone so there was a lot of room left. Everything you need is available, including wifi, a small but nice equipped kitchen and a nice clean bathroom. There’s even a washing machine that you can use while you’re staying.

Everything is cool, you just have to know that you have to walk a little bit to get to the bus stop but for the price is definitely worth the extra steps.

The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. The garden is very beautiful and the casa was comfortable.

It was a bit dark after sunset - it would have helped to have lights apart from the ceiling lights (which wasn’t very cosy) like floor lamps.

The room was very clean. The bathroom was nice and very clean. There is some bug but it is understandable in Costa Rica and it is not a big deal. My husband and I stayed for 2 nights and everything was great also shower pressure was okay and the water was warm. If you have a car the location was perfect.

We didn't use the kitchen but if someone wanted to use it there were little flies. That doesn't mean it is not to be clean but it is a wooden house and it is good to know it. The bed was okay but it could be more comfortable. Otherwise, everything was fine.

The location is great, with easy access to Manuel Antonio national park. Free access to washing machine

The room had a very strong smell of naphthalene that did not ease during our stay. This was extremely annoying and I would not have booked if someone had mentioned it in the reviews. The kitchen was very old and outdated, but functional. The beds were ok. We did not get to meet the owner who communicated only via WhatsApp. (Very responsive though) One evening someone came to ask for rent in cash, a bit dodgy to be honest. Overall ok but not the exceptional experience we expected from the rating.

Lovely apartment, had everything I needed, good kitchen, including blender to make smoothies, spacious, nicely decorated, very cosy. Nice little private garden, where two parrots made their nest in the tree. Communication with host was fine, although mostly with app, no personal contact. My worry was that it would be inconvenient without a car, but that was no problem at all: you can walk to the main road, where there are frequent buses to the national parc and Manuel Antonio beach. I found it also easy to hitchhike when I missed the bus, parc and beach are the end of the road, and all cars go there. Teva hostel is near (walking distance) and has a nice (Moroccan) restaurant.

    nothing.
