The setting was lovely and breakfast was great.

As the name says, it’s rustic but very charming and cozy!

Only the bathroom could be a little bigger

The place had a charming, rustic, and quaint vibe with lots of lush plants around, giving it a peaceful, nature-filled feel. The staff were very accommodating, and the little touches—like the cute towel animals—were a lovely surprise. The bathroom was a decent size, and there was a good amount of storage space in the room (though not much in the bathroom).

The lighting inside the room was quite poor, and the lack of soundproofing made it hard to relax at times. Mosquitoes were a bit of an issue, likely due to the surrounding greenery, and there wasn’t much outdoor seating to enjoy the space comfortably.

A beautiful piece of paradise. The team were very friendly and helpful, the food was lovely and it was in a quiet spot off the road but close to La Fortuna. We wish we could have stayed longer, it was very relaxing.

Our room was cozy and clean. The cleaning staff did a great job making up our room every day.

The restaurant was nearly empty at dinner. I thought the property would be in a more of a rural/jungle area.

Beautiful property, great staff, good value for money. Good location that is close to downtown. Breakfast was very nice. The owner Eric was very helpful and very knowledgeable. He made our stay a wonderful experience.

The breakfast was fantastic. Luis, Olga and Luisa went out of their way to ensure that we enjoyed every meal in the restaurant. The breakfast was healthy and tasty. Really loved the freshly made juices every morning! The housekeeping staff of Jacqueline and her colleague were amazing. Quietly efficient, and professional. They provided Great Service. They even returned money that they found in our laundry. We will return for sure!!! This is an amazing spot in a beautiful location!

No hot water. It was rainy and the ceiling was leaking from few places in the room.

Beautiful garden with a nice pool surrounded by colorful birds and other exotic animals. The bungalow was cute and comfortable.

It is a serene atmosphere. The person who greeted us was super nice and acomodating.

It needs more maintenence, no hot water, the person who was serving the food was in a totally bad mood and looking at us like we were wasting his time.

Eric at the front desk was exceptional. He was friendly and informative and so welcoming. We had a late check in and despite arriving so late, he came out to greet us and help with our luggage. Eric also helped us plan our tours which were also amazing. If you’re looking for a place surrounded by nature and don’t mind the rustic decor. I completely recommend this place. All the essentials were available. 1. Comfortable beds 2. Tea kettle w/tea bags 3. Mini fridge 4. Towels 5. Comfy pillows 6. Shower with great water pressure 7. Nice pool Bamboo the on-site restaurant where breakfast is served was phenomenal. They had 9 options which were prepped to perfection. Nice size portions. The staff was also 10/10. Inviting and warm which made leaving a little sad. Before arriving we stayed at the intercontinental in San Jose and there is just no comparing our experience. We loved everything about Casona Rústica/Tangara and would absolutely stay here again.
