Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesWe liked it all.
We loved being surrounded by nature- birds, cicadas, flowers, more hummingbirds than we saw at La Paz Waterfalls for $60 each. It was so peaceful, and we didn't worry about locking things up. We just relaxed. It's very close to gorgeous Rio Celeste. In addition to the included breakfast of coffee, fruit, eggs and pinto, there were several dinner options available to purchase. The staff was friendly and helpful always.

PortugalWifi connection was spotty in certain places, but in a place like this you won't want to be on your phone anyway!
The property is beautiful, such a lush tropical paradise filled with birds and other critters... we were lucky enough to be visited by a quati in the backyard behind our cabin, which was the right balance between rustic and comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were delicious.

CanadaThe staff member who met us at reception when we arrived was not very welcoming and spoke very little English. He gave us the key and showed us where to park and sort of explained that his brother would be there later if we wanted to try to book any tours through him. We didn't see anyone later in reception to do this. We decided to make a reservation for dinner as it was easier than trying to get back into town in the dark. The person we reserved with did not speak English but he wrote down our orders and our reservation time. Unfortunately, the kitchen staff thought our time was for 1/2 hour later, but they got food out as quickly as they could. On our last day at check out, we asked for our dinner receipt to pay for the one meal that we had. The bill had our correct food order but they had recorded that we had 2 Pina Colada drinks. We had just tap water. It took a lot of arguing back and forth with the woman who had called the manager, who was insisting that we had had drinks and that perhaps it was Mohitos and not Pina Coladas. Finally, after using Google translate to explain that my friend is allergic to alcohol and cannot drink, they finally relented and crossed the drinks off the receipt. The drinks cost double the price of the meals, so we definitely did not want to pay for something we did not have.
The property grounds are gorgeous and beautifully landscaped, providing many spaces to invite birds and other wildlife. The cabins were like little rustic cottages. The self-guided hike to the waterfall was absolutely gorgeous - a hidden gem! We had a refreshing swim in the cold water at the base of the waterfall. Amazing experience! The outdoor dining area is very cute with a couple of hammocks and a swing chair off to the side to relax in. The included breakfast was very good - traditional costa Rican fare. Also purchased dinner on our first night there - the Casada with chicken was excellent. Although the pool was tiny, it was very warm and relaxing.

CanadaThe waterfall hike was very muddy when we were there and maybe slightly further than advertised so we didn’t make it to the end. In drier conditions I’m sure if would be lovely.
All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The grounds are beautiful (lots of hummingbirds and a couple of toucans) and the little cabins are super cute. We had breakfast every morning and dinner one night. The food was great.

United StatesThe waterfall hike was extremely muddy and slippery, even in January. It was gorgeous at the end, but definitely not something you can swim in. Good for photos!
Gorgeous property, very clean. The staff are so kind and helpful. Nice breakfast. They even noticed my kids didn’t ever eat the pinto gallo portion of their breakfast, so on our last day brought them out pancakes as a surprise for them.
