Incredible place to sleep and relax. You live in a beautiful place surrounded by pure nature. You can see animals like parrots, monkeys and so on. Perfect for an authentic stay! Arno is a great host - really funny and motivated to make your stay unforgettable! Would come back every time :)

Oh...the rooms could have been better maintained...doors stuck, drains could be slow and it would have been nice to have towels refreshed....but it was clean, and the important things needed for comfort (air conditioning, wifi, a good bed and hot water) were very adequate and dependable. The kitchen was functional enough for our needs, but we did not do much cooking. We greatly appreciated the fridge and the microwave. The price enabled us to stay there for 6 nights, so these minor issues were very livable. I wouldn't hesitate to return.

Arno is a cheerful and welcoming host. The grounds were amazing - it was like being in the jungle without having to go there, with the bonus of a variety of wildlife. We got to see a troop of monkeys scampering through the trees while we floated in a clean and refreshing pool, as well as strange looking squirrels and birds I've never seen before. The breakfast was delicious, satisfying and reflected the cuisine of Costa Rica - fresh fruit, rice and beans, as well as protein (eggs, sausage and yogurt). We did splurge one night for the dinner and it was totally worth it - delicious with great flavor. We also really enjoyed the privacy of our room and the deck. One of the best features of Chez Nous is its location - very close to one of the most lovely beaches in Costa Rica: Carrillo Beach. The water was warm and the sand was soft. The waves were just right, and there was shade provided by the palm trees along the shore. For $20 you can 'rent' a 10x10 canopy and two chairs for the day, perfect for tourists. This is a beach frequented by locals, and while there were some vendors, it was very different than the beach at Semana, a few miles down the road.

The accommodation whilst rather basic, was clean, excellent value and perfectly adequate. It is set in a picturesque garden and hosted by the charming Arno and situated by a beautiful beach. The food deserves a special mention - evenings in particular were some of the best food we have had in Costa Rica.

The hotel is very close to one of Costa Rica’s nicest beaches and the food in the dining room is excellent. There is a lovely clean pool.

Location was fantaatic just a short walk from thw beach. Breakfast was lovely aetting you up well for the day ahead. Surroundings of nature with friendly, relaxed hosts who were happy to help your needs. Great value for money we would definately come again! 😃

The room has all the necessities but they maintenance in some areas. As the property is too close to the beach (great plus?) the humidity of the coast gets their way into the room specially in the bathroom (I would suggest a window to let the airflow). The room was really cozy but the floors need maintenance as well as some tiles are loose and tilted but it is fixable.

I love how close it was to the beach. The price was superb for the location, the breakfast and the season. The food was AMAZING! Please order the soups. Everyone was so nice to us, we enjoyed the company of the dogs, cats and the staff of the hotel. We really wanted to chill in the pool as it looked relaxing , but unfortunately we got the flu so we couldn’t swim. We stayed at a bungalow that had an amazing view to the trees and we were lucky to see monkeys!

The Internet is a bit slow but works perfectly by the swimming pool.

Perfect place to rest with quick access to the beach. Delicious breakfast made by chef, Fernando. Definitely, it must try a mango jam which is made by himself!

We liked the space in the room, the pool, the traditional breakfast and friendliness of the staff. Also the fact that the owner often tends guests himself. The hotel ist pet-friendly, so our golden retriever lady felt comfortable as well. Also to mention is, of course, the closeness to the beach, - it's literally 5min footwalk away.

Nothing negative, everything amazing

Best accommodation in Costa Rica so far. The location is perfect just next to the beach, free parking, amazing breakfast. They just help in whatever you need in any moment, good communication with the owner and the people working here. Very relaxing and the value for the service you get is just perfect. We definitely recommend this for everybody. Thank you so much!

Beautiful place to stay. Price and what you get is very good. I love unique places and this is definitely one. If you get to eat here, it is really really good. I can be picky in food but nothing really nothing to say bad about it. Completely the opposite. I would come and back

The homemade breakfast was an answer to our prayers every day! They were so accommodating and pleasant and you could tell they truly enjoy when guests are happy. Carillo is a quaint quiet town next to a gorgeous stretch of beach which is a 5 minute walk from Chez Nous. We came for surfing but Chez Nous was such a peaceful and perfect place to read, write, and just be. It felt great to be a bit away from, but still close enough to, hectic Sámara. The hosts made a fabulous Valentines Day dinner that was wonderful -we had double dessert! Also having air conditioning and a full kitchen was fantastic for us !

Chez Nous is wonderful, Arno the host is very accommodating and the property is gorgeous. Lots of beauty and nature right outside your room, pool was refreshing and clean. Breakfast every morning was good. The room had a fridge, microwave, coffee maker… everything you would need. Amazing for the price.

I can’t think of anything.

We loved the location, it felt like we were in the jungle, we appreciated how much wild life we would see. The staff was exceptionally friendly and felt like family. The breakfast was delicious, casada, eggs fresh fruit and good coffee. Our room had a fantastic deck to hang out on and watch the monkeys come by and sit in the trees right outside our accommodation. The bed was extremely comfortable as well. And it was a short 5 minute walk to the most beautiful beach we have ever seen. We would definitely stay here again.

bring your bug spray and light a pic at night. We loved it but if you’re the type who wants a hotel experience, you’re better off staying at a hotel. If you enjoy cottage life, you’ll be in heaven

Arnaud is a great host. very pleasant and helpful. he is also a very good cook. Try the seafood soup! It was a rustic cabin with a private patio, set in a garden of tropical plants and trees. very peaceful . Very close to the beach.. nice pool.

The bathroom is only separated by a curtain from the room so depending on how close you are one should leave the bungalow at certain times ;-)

The host (Arnaud) is a great person and his team is very attentive! We felt immediately at home in this charming and cosy place. Our Bungalow in the middle of the forest had everything we needed and more. It was the biggest and most comfy bed we've slept in during our time in Costa Rica. Everything was clean and worked well. The breakfast was delicious. We loved the pool, in the middle of a huge garden. It was a charming stay and we would have loved to stay longer!
