Smell of reception and rooms, the smell was very bad, building and facilities were a bit old

The receptionist frequently leaves the office for normal cleaning, maintenance, etc. but a sign on the door saying "be right back" or something would be helpful as we got there at night and nervously waited some time wondering if anyone would come back to check us in. (From what I understand, someone is there 24/7 so do not worry) overall, it was a great stay. I also saw some very negative reviews complaining of bugs in and around the hotel, which there definitely were. If you don't like bugs, don't come to the jungle.

This hotel was exactly what we wanted, it was the cheapest option within walking distance to the beach, which was our priority. The rooms were cleaned daily, the location is great (there is a marked bus stop 5 minute walk up the hill), and staff was very friendly. Staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. This was the perfect budget option (relative to the expensive area that Manuel Antonio is). We were not expecting a 5 star resort with every amenity available. If you are then this hotel is not for you.

I didn’t enjoy the showers

I enjoyed my stay! The location was walkable by the beach! Parking in site and close to all the restaurants! Nice room to come back to after a long day in Manuel Antonio

The place wasn’t particularly clean. It said it had luggage storage, but it didn’t. There were people throughout the night partying in the pool. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable.

Location. It was a last minute booking and it was acceptable for a night. The guy in reception was helpful.

The shower door needed to be fixed. When I got there, they didn't tell me there was a private parking spot for cars. I discovered it because I asked if we could use the pool; they told us there was another one on a second level (it seemed like a 3rd level once you did the walk), and we saw the private parking lot once we found the 2nd pool. I asked if I could park there instead of outside, and they agreed, and I parked it there.

Great location. My car had a private parking spot. There were two pools. Lots of places to eat close to the hotel. Value for money. The national park and the beach were really close too. I would go again with friends.

No reading lights next to the bed, overhead (very bright) lights only. Far from the town center for an older gal like me, especially when walking uphill coming back to the hotel. (5 mils colones for a taxi, one-way). Scratchy towels (one each), toilet paper inconveniently located across the bathroom from the toilet, paper very thin. No rubber mat in the shower.

Joanna, the receptionist, was excellent in her service to her clients. She went way above and beyond the call of duty repeatedly in a friendly and efficient manner. She helped us secure transportation, get in touch with the Finca where we had reservations and were unable to reach with our phones; she got us quickly into our rooms as soon as we checked in, gave us extra towels for the pool, put us in touch with a wonderful driver, gave us restaurant information, and told us how to catch the bus with luggage. She was always gracious, helpful, and accommodating. There was a lovely, refreshing pool. Proximity to Casi Cielo, a small cafe across the street with excellent breakfasts, also close to the gorgeous beach. Air conditioning was excellent, easy to control, and kept us as cool as we wanted. We stayed here twice, at the beginning and end of our Costa Rican adventure. I forgot my blouse behind a door when we left the first time, and when we returned Gilberto handed it to me, folded and freshly laundered! Good TV reception, wide choice of movies! Maid service was excellent.
