Property is located down an unlit track which has a crocodile swamp next to it. This may not be a problem for you if you have transport or are comfortable with this, however this affected how we planned our days eg getting takeaways in the evening so we weren't walking back in the dark. In the day you can walk along beach in low tide. Aircon is poor and there are a lot of ants, bugs, lizards inside etc. Curtains only covered part of windows and windows are not sealed tight (slits).

Amazing location on the beach. Beautifully landscaped gardens. Can see lots of nature nearby - macaws, toucans, sloths, monkeys etc. Just down the road from where we got a kayak tour. Staff responsive, and gave option of breakfast (plain pancakes with coffee and juice).

We enjoyed a super location, right on the beach yet slightly secluded. Within a few minutes' walk, you're in the village. The huts come with integrated bathrooms and offer a nice view of the garden and the sea. In the mornings, you can hear the howler monkeys, but otherwise, it's very peaceful (we visited during the off-season). The owner (or staff?) was always there and is very attentive

Would of been good to know in advance that credit cards were not accepted, would of saved having to drive out after arriving to find a cash point to pay for the hotel.

Nearly everything but we feel we needed a kettle in the room to go with the 2 mugs provided. A small thing but we like our cups of tea

Windows that do not close tightly, to keep night time biting insects out and leaking that causes the AC units to work more.

We booked and were told from the Booking.com site, to pay at the site, which is comon. However, we always, in the past, paid with a credit card. This time we were asked to pay in cash. We were lucky that we had the cash... if not?? What then?

No hot water, but it’s a hot place so it’s not critical.

You can’t beat this location! Right on the beach. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed. The owner let us check in very early, borrow bicycles to get to town, and use the kayaks. The room was clean and had fans and air conditioning.

My only negative was that it was a little walk to get to the other end of Jimenez.

Lovely cabin in a nice quiet part of Puerto Jiménez. The rooms are nice and spacious and you don’t have to worry about people staying next door because the cabins are spread out.

Could use some seating options out on the lawn in front of the beach. There was only one lounger there. Also wifi was great when it was on but seemed like it got shot off for the night around 8 pm.

Great value for money. Directly on the beach. Very clean and super friendly and helpful staff. Out of the way but a short walk to restaurants, ferry and town. Fresh coffee in the morning and breakfast is available for a price.

The water pressure is dismal. The location is near the small airport so the plane noise.

We loved the quietness of the lodge. The rooms were simple and clean. There were many macaws, toucans and small parrots in the trees. There was air conditioning. The bed was comfortable.

Not a huge problem but there was no fridge in our two person room, and no kitchen to use. I think the larger rooms have these.

Great view of the water, with lots of birds to watch every morning. The cabins were basic but large and had everything we needed with aircon that worked well. The staff were so friendly and gave us so much free coffee.

The photos of this property didn't quite do it justice. It was beautiful! Very cute little "village" of these cabins. The onsite host was just wonderful and cooked a fine breakfast. Beach? Beautiful and right there! AC was needed and wonderful. Outdoor clothesline - handy! Next time we stay here, it may be for our entire stay in Costa Rica instead of just the 2/3 days we'd stayed this first time.

It wasn't clear to me that it's cash-only. Not a big deal because there are ATMs in town, so it was a minor inconvenience.

The place is beautifully cared for, with a variety of lodging options each set apart from the others. The lidge is a few steps away from the far end of a peaceful and calm beach so generally one is alone there. Also in walking distance of a nice beachfront restaurant/bar. The owner Tomas is very friendly and helpful, as is his assistant Julia. They let me bring my dog! I actually spent 3 nights there, not 1. I will recommend it to friends
