The only downside was the shower — the water leaked through the door due to poor sealing, leaving the floor wet.

The place is very neat and comfortable, with a beautiful view of the volcano — either from your room or from a small, cozy balcony. We visited during rainy weather, and the hotel kindly provided umbrellas, which was very convenient. Overall, a great stay and very good value for the money. Would happily come back!

The property is quite 'far out', and a car is necessary. Even with a car, it takes some time to get to aces like 'Fortona'. Also, considering the room has a kitchen, basic things like salt and cooking oil would have been appreciated. None of these are present, and you will have to acquire these yourself

Great location next to the lake and a short distance from the Arenal Volcano National Park. Our room had a balcony with a fantastic view of the volcano and lake. The breakfast was very good, and we also ate dinner at the restaurant. Dinner was a little pricey, but the food was very good.

The shower was a lukewarm but not not uncomfortably cold. Not really a dislike but it was about a 30 minute drive to the activities we had booked in La Fortuna - it was totally worth the views and peacefulness. Everything else was great; no complaints.

My teenage daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights. They were great with communication and accommodating a later than expected check-in due to issues with our flight. The breakfasts were very good, especially the coffee. The view was incredible. The property was serene and there was very little noise except for some renovations that were being done in the morning. There was plenty of parking available. We didn't eat dinner here but they seemed to have very good hours for guests. The air conditioning worked great. It was very hot while we were there in March.

It’s not about the property. If public transportation (bus service) are more frequently, at least twice or three times a day, it’s more easier to access to the property, we think.

Everything was perfect! The view from the room was magnificent, and it’s clean and spacious room was good to be relaxing. the atmosphere was tranquil and peaceful, and we could enjoy the beauty of nature. All the staff were friendly, especially Ms Daniela, the reservation manager & receptionist, was so kind and gave us full of assistance for our stay. Thank you, Daniela! The breakfast and dinner were very tasty. Strongly recommend for everyone. We definitely want to stay again if we come back to Costa Rica.

The room has tea and coffee but could have a little more. Just the basics like some simple snacks. However this is nit picking at a perfect perfect villa.

The view from the property is absolutely stunning and out of this world. The restaurant also has amazing views and the privacy of the villa is great. We spent a lot of time just sitting on the porch as it was so beautiful.

internet was off and on but as it was pretty remote area I think that is expected.

The location is about 30 min from La Fortuna and a not a lot of amenities other than a couple restaurants but that was what we were looking for. The view from the room of the volcano and lake was lovely. It had a simple little kitchenette area. The fridge was not on and so had to clean up a bunch of water where it had defrosted and wait for it to get cold again but then worked fine. The washroom had a recent upgrade but the door did need to be taken off and cut down as it scrapped against the floor every time you tried to open or close. It was exactly what we were expecting and for the price I thought it was an amazing deal. The complimentary breakfast at the hotel was a nice start to the day. We would absolutely stay there again.

We would have liked proper chairs inside the room and not just the stools and the outdoor chairs on the balcony. Oddly, the bed had no mattress protector undersheet. In contrast to the room and reception, we were very unimpressed by the on-site restaurant. There are only a handful of chalets so it's understandable there is no buffet breakfast but the very basic choice of yoghurt and granola or an unexciting gallo pinto plus a glass of juice and coffee left us feeling shortchanged. Service in the restaurant (which was quite modern with a terrific outlook) both morning and evening was just adequate and the food was overpriced.

Stunning, peaceful hillside location with magnificent view, abundant birdlife and flowers in the garden, away from the grockley bustle of La Fortuna but close enough to all the activities around Arenal. Friendly reception. The room was clean and the large balcony was a real bonus in the hot weather; the small kitchenette was also useful. Large en-suite bathroom. Overall, it offered good value for money in this tourist hotspot.

We loved our stay here! We absolutely enjoyed that it was located a little off the beaten path.— 13 minute drive to the Arenal park. We loved the backroads and all the rivers crossed to get there. Very manageable and enjoyable! The restaurant was lovely and the staff was kind and helpful! The views of Arenal Volcano and the lake were unmatched. We felt like we found an absolute hidden gem by staying here. The little cabins were cute and cozy with phenomenal views of the volcano, flowers and hummingbirds, etc. around! We were also in walking distance to rent paddle boards, kayaks, etc! An absolute treat to stay here and we would recommend it to everyone!

Very nice bungalows, comfy beds, nice A/C and fan to cool down a little bit. The lake and volcano view is absolutely amazing and the colors at sunset are breathtaking. The ratio (in September) is perfect and the included breakfast was yummy (you get the breakfast in the restaurant "Fusion Arenal") which is part of the property. In El Castillo and around you can find two small supermarkets, several restaurants and just steps away from the bungalow you will find different offers of watersport activities. There is no cooking option/stove or cooking equipment in the bungalows "kitchen". You will find a small fridge, some plates, cutlery, glasses, cups, filter coffee machine and a microwave. We loved every single moment of our stay here and we will definetely come back!

The view from our room was just amazing!!!! Do not hesitate to book here if you’re looking for a place more in the nature and not full of tourists. You wake up to the birds. The room was huge, very well equipped. Ask the reception for the taxi drivers number Adan. He was great too! The food in ghettos restaurant is delicious.
