How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Verified reviewStaff especially Steven at the front desk helped with all our tours and was most professional. So close to the Manuel Antonio park just a short walk and not far from the beach. View from the front of our balcony was spectacular.
Nothing really the rooms are only a container wide but did the job nicely. Be careful keeping the doors closed especially in the morning the monkeys are very cheeky!

Verified reviewPerfect place to visit Manuel Antonio National Park - you can walk to the park entrance in only 5 minutes. You can leave your car at the hotel and walk to the park 👍. The rooms and the restaurant have a great view. We enjoyed a very good breakfast and dinner there. We booked a canoe tour with the hotel reception, the tour was great! We definitely would recommend this tour. They pick you up for the tour at the hotel. Price for the room is very good.

Verified reviewExceptional in both the location so close to the park and the view is insane. Very impressed with a young man Stephen at the front desk must work long hours but a delight. Helped with tours, bookings and couldn't do enough. Spoke excellent English and was ultra professional to deal with. Meals and pool were also very good and Saturday night live music.
Nothing really, we knew the rooms were small, but those cheeky monkeys in the morning is something else be warned what you leave on the balcony and close your door!!!

Verified reviewIt was in a great location right next to the national park and very close to the beaches. The rate was also very good compared to other places around town. The room was smaller but it fit our needs as we did not plan on spending much time in the hotel. Sitting in the restaurant we were able to watch birds flying by and iguanas walking around which added to the feeling that we were so close to the national park and nature around us.

Verified reviewThis hotel is ideally located near the Manuel Antonio park accessible by walk. The room with view on the sea allows to view all the wonderful park sea front. The breakfast and lunch area is open to the forest around where one can see sloths, birds and monkeys. There was also a nice live concert one evening. All the team was very helpful on any request from us. Monkeys are passing through the room balconies, so windows must be carefully closed all time, but at teh same time it is quite an experience to see them going through from the room inside.
The room itself is, as announced, a refurbished container, that is large enough and perfectly fine, the furniture inside is only a bit limited. The hotel is also on a stiff slope, a golf type shuttle brings you up.

Staff was not very responsive. Either I didn't get an answer on WhatsApp or I got an answer but no follow-up. The restaurant is bad. When I was there the elevator was broken over half the time (and I was on the top floor) which was a bit much after hiking up the hill just to get the the hotel. Honestly, I think they are coasting on their great location and not paying attention to the details.

Verified reviewThe location was very convenient- just a few minutes walking to Manuel Antonio National Park. We got a room on the top floor with an excellent view. It was cheap. Staff was very friendly. The park tour was great.
It was a bit funky and had a weird smell (ok, I’m sensitive) and could use some renovation. I didn’t want to go in the pool. The restaurant food was mediocre, But you get what you pay for.

Verified reviewThe location next to Manuel Antonio national park was exceptional. We only stayed one night, but were able to leave our car in the carpark whilst we accessed the park the next day, which was most welcome. The pools were gorgeous and views amazing. We enjoyed watching the monkeys climb over everyone's balconies in the morning!! Staff were friendly and helpful. Great value for money.
Room was small, but we expected that and it wasn't an issue. Had good lighting, air-conditioning and excellent shower, so we had all we needed! Breakfast service was really slow; took an hour for food to arrive which could be an issue for park access, which is in timed slots. Luckily we'd gone early for breakfast, having been woken by the monkeys jumping on our roof. Breakfast burrito was very tasty though, despite staff not being able to keep up with flow of people.
