Adding a luggage rack would be an easy way to make the space more functional. The lighting in the rooms was also poor.

The grounds were really quaint and nicely done up to support social interaction. Lights in the trees and little areas for gathering around as well as a hammock and bistro table for each unit. The animals added to the charm and reminded us of home.

This was a cool, colorful hotel, with lots of interesting paintings of Greek mythology on the walls, and a beautiful tree in the courtyard. Kitchen well equiped and clean. We stayed here one night to break up the long drive from Tamarindo to San Jose. It was a great option for the night.

Sonia was delightful. She was very helpful and just a really nice person to talk to. Bagaces is a humble town. It is not pretentious or aimed at tourists specifically.

The room and the kitchen facilities were very good. The only thing missing was extra places to hang a hammock. Some of the rooms had hammocks and hooks but ours didn't.

For our needs this place was great! We booked very last minute and the staff were super lovely and were on hand throughout. The room was super lovely and we were very comfortable. We played with the animals in and around the property and went for a walk around the town in the evening. Everyone was lovely and we had the best time on the first day of our trip! Thank you so much for all the attention and care whilst we were with you for the night!

It is simple and rustic and you will likely find access easiest with a car. Although we were advised there would be no hot water, there seemed to be a device on the shower head which did produce warm water!

El Greco was a great stopover after we had landed at nearby Liberia airport. It is simple and rustic with few facilities, but has a charm all of its own. There is covered secure parking and the whole hostel feels very safe. The town has several restaurants and we ate in the Soda La Fuego recommended by the hostel - it did not disappoint! El Greco offers great value provided your expectations are calibrated accordingly.

Pleasant rooms set around a large courtyard with interesting murals and well equipped shared kitchen. Everything is scrupulously cleaned daily and Bagaces is a convenient location for Liberia and the Tempisque river. Our hostess very kindly allowed us to check out late to suit our afternoon flight time.

The town is not designed for tourists - which we expected.

Quiet, spacious shared areas. Very clean, spotless room and bath. When it was clear That the AC in our intended room wasn’t working, staff moved us to a different one.

One bed had a great foam mattress, but the other one has spring coils, which was not very good.

Great staff, location, and there were lots of pets to keep you company. There are lots of food options in town, which is not very touristy as well.

That's one of the really less places we will remember till the end of our lives in years.of travelling. What a wonderful place, made full of love. One of the most clean shared kitchens and shared fridge we have ever seen. This is the pace to stay of you are around in this area, and it's cheap for what it is. You won't regret! We hope to come back!
