stunning location fabulous resort lovely staff great food excellent experience

My hair didn't like the humidity!

The villa, facilities, staff and activities were excellent. We loved yoga every morning. There’s a wonderful spa. We rode horses, went zip-lining and visited the waterfalls. The food was very fresh and, for the most part, delicious. If you wanted something else, they’d make it - my son and husband got made to order omelettes and I got a Vegan sandwich that was delicious. The staff really wanted to make guests happy. I enjoyed making fires in our working fireplace - it got chilly at night. They bring treats to your room every night, along with extra towels. The bed was really comfortable.

There’s always something - the difficulty in getting extra matches, the promised coffee tour that is no longer being done - we had a coffee tasting instead.

Fantastic location and accommodation in 2 bed villa. Staff were available and attentive. Loved the guided mystical tour and the impromptu guided bird watching walk.

From the breathtaking location to the beautifully designed rooms and the warm attention of the staff, everything at El Silencio was exceptional. The lodge offers a perfect blend of luxury and nature. A special thank you to Estafny and Esperanza for their outstanding care and genuine kindness—they truly elevated my stay. Given that the lodge is nestled in the heart of the jungle, be prepared to encounter a few bugs and spiders here and there. That said, I didn’t get bitten once, and it never felt like a problem.

There was a WhatsApp concierge service available, but responses were sometimes delayed or missed entirely. Still, this was just a minor inconvenience, as every face-to-face interaction was warm, helpful, and efficient. If there’s one small improvement to suggest, it would be curating the restaurant music a bit more thoughtfully to better match the ambiance of the space.

Everything was perfect. A luxurious way to explore the cloud forest and Costa Rica. Ample opportunity to immerse yourself in nature. The staff felt like family by the time we left.

Inconsistent kitchen. Some of the food was truly excellent. Some was disappointing. Once even the same dish from one day to the next.

Tucked in the middle of the jungle, this property is charming. The cocktails were incredible and dinners delicious, which was a welcome change from the usual food you get in CR. The gym is not large but had nice equipment which was perfect for a workout when it was raining.

Our room (16) was spacious and had a lovely hot tub but unfortunately not at all with the views of the jungle / mountains we were hoping for – def make sure you request a room higher up. The yoga class could also be a little tougher than just stretches.

Amazing views of the sea and jungle - very close to the coast and Main Street so very easy to access / go anywhere Spacious new and modern gated house fully equipped, beautiful pool was the climax - very welcoming host ! Ideal location for holidaying in this area

The only plus of this hotel is the plce

The price of the hotel is NOT matching the quality of services, architecture and design of the place. In the restaurant they are serving you the most expensive wine without tell you the price (35$ per glass) if you would like to cancel the part od you stay the hotel will NOT give you any option. The ubrelas are broken, bathrooms are very cold.

Since you get there you receive only the best of everything! Location, the suites, the restaurant, the rainforest, the food, drinks and service. We were celebrating my significant other’s birthday and they helped me prepare a special surprise with a delicious dessert, and a celebration with violin happy birthday singing.
