There were a few little details which Ester is already at working fixing up. Our only disappointment was no included breakfasts -- but Ester is so accommodating that I think she might have fed us if we had asked!

Ester's Place is an elegant home in the very upscale neighborhood of Escazu, just maybe 15 minutes to downtown San Jose, should you ever desire to go there! Not as nice as it used to be :( We felt very safe there. Our room was huge and the beds and linens were high quality and super comfortable. The Costa Rica coffee is superb. Ester and her family are lovely! She is open and eager and thankful for feedback and put suggestions right into action. She's always working to improve her accommodations to make them as perfect as possible. It's a 4-star residence at a 2-star price. It will now be our home any time we visit Costa Rica.

My stay at Ester's Place was just great! The host was VERY friendly and accommodating. I picked the location because of its proximity to CIMA where I was scheduled to have some dental work. The medical complex is a short, enjoyable walk through a nice, safe neighborhood, which allowed me to save on parking fees. My room was spacious, secure, and comfortable, with everything I needed, and Ester was only a text message away if I had any questions. I will definitely stay here again!!

Absolutely nothing, I couldn't have better things to say about this place.

I stay in San Jose lots traveling through, and this is the first time I have stayed at Ester's place. The place was a breath of fresh air from what I am used to. The staff, which is a husband and wife, and a delightful maid were extraordinary friendly and helpful during check-in/ out. The property is in a super safe and nice area of Escazu. The facility itself is very nice with a community kitchen that is well stocked with things that you can use. The room itself was huge, way larger than a hotel room, and had a nice balcony. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone staying in San Jose for shopping or heading to or from the airport.

Ester's place should be called Ester's Palace! It is a gorgeous home with loads of space, beautifully arranged. The host family is lovely and they looked after us superbly. The location is very good and easy to find. The nearby Avenida is gorgeous with some nice places to eat. 😃

Ester’s place was easy to find with Google maps and Uber. It had everything I needed and for a price better than anything else around. Ester responded very quickly to any question I had. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting simple accommodation in this area.

The house was exceptionally clean. The patio was lovely and the guests congregated for lunch and conversation. Ester went out of her way to make you feel welcome and to ensure she paid attention to your every need. It’s located near doctors, shopping and a taxi ride away from city.
