Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomSuch a wonderful location and the owners were lovely. I would strongly suggest a 4x4 if you are travelling here. Watching the view from the hammocks was such a memorable experience and we'll never forget our stay here.

United KingdomWe really enjoyed our stay here. It is a mini adventure to get to with the ferry crossing and drive up the gravel road ( which was fun but not too difficult and could be managed even without a 4 X 4 ) The bungalows are simple, but authentic and perfectly comfortable. The balconies are large and private, with amazing views of the mangroves. Lots of birds, and butterflies and the sound of the monkeys in the distance. Great breakfast - loved the pancakes ! Very friendly family owners who were perfect hosts. Good recommendation for a local beach with calm water where we spent a memorable day. If we are lucky enough to return to the Pacific coast of Costa Rica we will definitely stay here again and hopefully stay longer!

United KingdomThe view over the mangrove swamps from the Finca were spectacular. Family owned and the whole family gave us a warm welcome. Lots of thought put into the cabins which were a delight. The shaded veranda of our cabin gave us a stunning view. Loved the bathroom. Great place to chill out for an afternoon. Ferry across the river was a delight and the gravel road to the Finca not too bad in dry season. Delicious dinner and breakfast. Would recommend the banana smoothies that were gorgeous. Nice and quiet at night so slept really well. Highly recommend this Finca.

AustriaVery welcoming, great service, nice tours, most beautiful Location ❤️ The Hotel can be accessed by a Ferry, afterwards the route is a gravel road but manageble even without 4x4. We are very thankful to them for organising exeptional tours and giving us good food. They are overall very welcoming and helpful hosts. We highly recommend this accommodation, in peaceful and beautiful surroundings.

United KingdomFinca La Puesta de Sol is an unbelievably special place. The view is to die for, we were all so awed by the the natural beauty of the place. Seeing the Osa Peninsula from so high up was so special. This is a different type of luxury - the cabins are rustic with open mesh windows so you can enjoy the breeze and jungle sounds and are very simple - the luxury comes from its sheer remoteness and natural beauty. You feel on top of a world you never thought still existed. This is a gorgeous place to bring children, perhaps best for slightly older children (ours are 12 and 14). We spent hours watching scarlett macaws and toucans right in front of us. The welcome was warm and Ramon, Marisa and team are such lovely people. The food was fantastic. We enjoyed a choice of two breakfasts from a changing menu. I think most of us went for pancakes with banana, chocolate and nuts. Dinner was really delicious too. The ride in the back of a 4x4 was a really fun way to arrive! They were kind enough to to arrange a very much recommended 3 hour mangrove tour, and the captain dropped us on the right side of the river where we were picked up and taken up the mountain. Exceptional value for money. LOVED IT!

SwedenThe kind of place where you easily feel at home and never want to leave. The hosts are a lovely family, always ready to help you. The meals cooked for dinner are delicious. We loved our cabin, with a terrace with spectacular views and outdoor bathroom. The nature is wonderful and there´s wildlife all over the place, from ara´s to tamandua´s... A great location too if you want to discover the peninsula with your car. This is an authentic and marvellous place to stay if you seek the more of the beaten track.

United KingdomYou do have to cross the river by ferry to get there, which was confusing to begin with until we were told to beep our horn to let the ferryman know we were there.
A family run finca in the most wonderful location with stunning views over the Osa peninsula. The hosts were all delightful and happy to accommodate our needs.

JerseyThe property is situated in an idyllic location on high ground with panoramic views over the surrounding jungle and to the distant coast. The local Tico family owners are very friendly and helpful able to organise trips etc. The food is excellent with tasty local dishes. Access to the property really requires a 4wd but isn’t challenging. This property is a well kept secret that needs to be explored.

United StatesGood breakfast, and dinner. remote location on top of a mountain. Lots of birds, amazing sunsets, and view, cool nights. Staff very friendly and accommodating. The bungalows were like cabins with nice decks. If you continue down the road you wind up in Rincon. You are the nightlife here, because of the remoteness. Good tours available.

The perfect place for anybody who wants to see for themselves how the pure Costa Rica looks like. The views make up for any inconveniences (you have to take into consideration the more off-road ride to get to) but the views and the incredible stuff make it a dealbreaker. Gabriel, the owner, knows his stuff and showed us all kinds of animals living in the places you could never think of. The best thing of course were the toucans living there.
