Everything was perfect! Just keep in mind that you are in the nature in a tent, so there can be a few insects and the tent is a bit noisy at night with the wind! But it’s amazing and part of the experience :)

Lovely place immersed in the nature! Very safe also for female solo travel, even if it’s a bit isolated. The tent is really functional and it’s like a proper room with all comforts. I had a lovely time also with Felix and the cows that live in front of the tent. It was a blessing to wake up in the nature like that! And it’s in front of a volcano!

I have no complaints. I would suggest reading up before going. I'm sure some people would prefer a regular hotel within walking distance of stores and restaurants. But this was exactly what I was hoping for and i would stay there again in a heartbeat.

I had a great time at Flora Glamping de Abuela. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. It is in a beautiful location that is a short drive from the city but far enough away to be a quiet sanctuary. I would fall asleep and wake up to the sounds of nature. It was truly a wonderful experience!

Evi our host was lovely and very quick to respond. The setting was beautiful, surrounded by a very colourful garden and a wonderful view of the volcano. If you want to be surrounded by the sounds of birds this is the place! Very tranquil setting. It was very clean and comfortable and the shared kitchen area was well equipped. It was a short drive into town and a quick trip to the nearby falls.

The host was very accommodating and very responsive. We had a perfect view of the volcano. Very quiet and very close to town, if you need to visit for anything. Very small place, but was perfect for us, as we never stay long in the rooms, we are out exploring. Comfy bed and had all that was needed.

We love this little glamping spot!! Away from the city lights and noises. The staff is amazing!! Very friendly and welcoming! We even got to go to the barn and milk a cow! Having a fully stocked kitchen with all the appliances you could possibly need is a bonus

The staff was not on site and did not respond to whatsapp calls after 9 pm. We thought we were going to have to sleep in our car. We called about 5 times. They did not send us a confirmation on booking. The did send some information to a my home number registered with booking. That was not the number i was traveling with. Horrible connection. I would not stay there again.

After 8a the tent was too hot to be in until late afternoon. I just wanted to chill but couldn’t because of the heat in the tent.

Meeting Tío Félix and learning how to milk a cow was priceless. Also the pass to the thermalitas was greatly appreciated. The kitchen area was well supplied. The proximity to the volcano was excellent

What an amazing and wonderful experience we had at Flora Glamping de Abuela! The tents are new and beautiful, perfectly appointed, and amazingly clean. We slept very soundly and comfortably and woke up to an unobstructed view of the Arenal volcano. No trees, buildings, or even a pane of glass between us and the mountain. Priceless! It was easy to find our way here and the road is quite good. The host met us upon arrival and was wonderfully responsive at all times. We loved the personal touch of this family business. Soooo much better than a hotel!

The only down side is the cock that starts to sing at 4am every morning and keeps going all the rest of the morning.

The tend is very nice and comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped and the owner is a very nice person. The position is just gorgeous.

The only down sides is that when I booked with booking.com, it said check in was 15:00-22:00, which was great because I knew we’d be on a hike during the day and would arrive late afternoon. I didn’t see the special request that came in after the booking that said we could only check in from 15:00-16:00, and the lady was texting me wondering where I was at. I didn’t see it because I didn’t have Wi-Fi. They also sent me a long list of rules to abide by, but if you are respectful of the room, it’s well worth it. Just make sure you communicate what time you will arrive beforehand, because there isn’t a checkin desk or office. Although it’s doable, it’s a little far from town to walk and having a car might make things easier.

This was probably my favorite stay during my entire trip to Costa Rica. It was so beautiful waking up and seeing the volcano right outside your tent!!! It’s very romantic and just breathtaking. I would highly recommend this place.
