The pool could have been cleaned more often, a lot of dead insects in the pool made it slightly unappealing.

The room was really clean and the bathroom facilities were modern.

Breakfast lady wasn’t very friendly

We really enjoyed our stay at Fuego Lodge and even extended it. It was nice to have our own kitchen, to change the scenary of the regular casado’s and other typical local food around here. The supermarket is down the road, the closest “soda” as well, as many other restaurants and shops are within a 5-10min walking distance. Every day, the cleaner provided new towels and cleaned the room. Breakfast had 4 options, as well as unlimited tea and coffee. Reception is easily to reach via Whatsapp. Free parking in front of the gate. Feels like you are in nature, but still close to all you need.

I stayed in one of the small, standard rooms, which was pretty basic. It could've used more hooks or a closet for hanging wet things. And I wish the ceiling fan could've been stronger or window had a screen so that there could've been more natural air flow (instead of A/C). Since I was only one of two guests on the property at any given time, I wish they could've been more flexible with breakfast service times.

The property is absolutely beautiful - I loved the common areas!! This location is great - very close and walkable to a bunch of restaurants and the grocery store, and down a small, quiet, paved road. The front desk staff were all incredibly nice and helpful - they were always quick to respond via Whatsapp to help arrange things and provide recommendations.

Super friendly staff, the breakfast was amazing, the room was clean and comfortable with AC. It felt like a little oasis, a few meters from the beach and the main street, but still quiet and peaceful. The pool was the perfect reward after a long day at the beach. Would definitely come back.

The hot water in my room didn’t work. However, I didn’t tell staff until the last day so I cannot blame them for not fixing.

Beautiful property. Feels like you are in the middle of the jungle. Staff friendly. Room clean. Close to town but I had an ATV which helped with the ride up the hill.

Water from the shower and faucet had an oily texture and it was impossible to get it off, it left your skin with a weird feeling.

Lovely hotel. The room is really bright and clean. It was located in front of the pool and we enjoyed very much. The staff is friendly and the breakfeast was good, specially the pancakes. The location is perfect and we would rdefinately return!

Clean and green! Pool is beautiful. Location is just down the hill to the beach. Close to cafes and restaurants. We had no car so we can walk everywhere. Rooms are huge also Internet is good too. Staff are also so friendly

Costa Rica is super expensive - the most expensive developing country we have ever visited! The cost for our accommodation was a lot for what it was but the whole country is expensive so it’s all relative

The staff were excellent especially Anya super helpful, welcoming & friendly. Great location to the beach and restaurants and the pool area was fab. Also saw some great wildlife like howler monkeys, iguanas and red squirrels

Little tropical oasis in the heart of Santa Teresa. Súper peaceful and clean, only a few meters away from the beach! The staff was very kind and we also loved the included breakfast. We would definitely return!

The bathroom door was designed to only partially slide across. There is no reason for bathrooms without proper doors.

The noise of other guests. The breakfast is handmade at the moment which is good but we need to wait at least 20 min. The decor the rooms could be more comfortable, nothing important. A little bit expensive, but everything in Santa Teresa is.

The staff was amazing ! Even before our arrival they gave us all the support we needed, with the car, with the change of the booking because of flight cancelation, with the tours… everything. They were unbelievably helpful. The environment of the property is amazing. The yoga class also amazing (at least the Friday one). The location is perfect.
