This is a really great location if you are arriving at SJO and want to get a head start on a drive to Pacific coast locations. It is about a 1 hour drive, and very easy to find. The staff are so nice. We had a very good dinner at the restaurant on site, and the included breakfast was also very good. The neighborhood is a little loud, but the property is secluded and seems quite safe.

Nothing at all. Everything was great!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. We stopped there to visit the Carara national park (only 25 min away). The room and bathroom and entire property are super clean, pretty and with a relax atmosphere. The beds are very confortable and we had great nights of quiet sleep. Our best sleep in Costa Rica so far! The tenants are very nice, welcoming, smiling and made us feel very relaxed. They let us enjoy the swimming pool for a long time today after checkout time. They gave us breakfast earlier than their normal breakfast time to allow us to eat before our early guided tour. We also had a nice diner in a great environment. The wifi connection works very fine as well. Everything was perfect! Thank you so much

Nothing not to like!

The property was immaculate and the staff, who I believe are a small family team, had great attention to detail. We arrived late evening with my 5 year old asleep in arms, they sent for someone to help with my bags and sent me and my son to the room straight away before husband had finished doing check in formalities. That was a lovely touch. Room was very comfortably furnished and well maintained, proper black out curtains, comfortable large beds, bedside lighting, professionally made bed and bedding etc. breakfast was excellent, served with a big smile and you could tell good hygiene was being excersized. Very impressed.

The noise from the pool and also from the bar across the street. It stopped after 11 pm so it wasn’t too bad.

Super friendly staff. Room was big and has an ac which made it very comfortable for 96f temperature. Parking was inside the gate.

Their staff! They were genuinely helpful and super accommodating. They even prepared breakfast very early in the morning for us to catch an early ferry! The dining area was very cute by the pool.

This lush, relaxed resort is perfectly located about a 15 minute drive from the town of Fortuna, allowing us to be nestled in the rainforest while not far from plenty of restaurants and local flavor. The best of both worlds. Our room was clean and spacious, with a design aesthetic that combined modernity with traditional Costa Rican folk art, and included captivating view of the volcano from our private patio/balcony. The AC, WiFi, and shower were great, as was the whirlpool bath. The overall property is expansive, lush, and well-maintained. There is a shallow heated pool/bar where one can soak and have drinks, adjacent to a conventional swimming pool, which always seemed to be at perfect temperature. The pools and patio had a lively feel without being too much. There is a surprisingly good walking trail located right on the premises that quickly immerses you into the rainforest with no worries about getting lost. The restaurant is excellent, and and we had full dinners there twice. We partook daily in the buffet-style breakfast, which included everything from traditional local favorites like plantains, rice and beans, baked goods, and native fruits to more continental staples like French toast and bacon. Everything was fresh and delicious. The resort offers a menu of local activities that they will accommodate — i.e., provide transportation to and from — but if you have a rental car, you can save money arranging your own excursions. We definitely recommend the nearby “Hanging Bridges” experience, which right next door; it was stunning. We especially appreciated the excellent hospitality and service, which was attentive but not overbearing. Everyone whom we interacted with, from the front desk clerk to the restaurant staff to the cleaning staff, was pleasant and accommodating in every way, exuding the relaxed “pura vida” vibe to which we quickly became accustomed.
