Incredible location and very friendly staff. The beautiful views of the ocean, and monkeys, toucans, and even more wildlife are visible throughout the property!

Staff were excellent went above and beyond to make my visit special. Breakfast was excellent! I loved the location away from all of the masses of tourists in other parts of the area. Very nice group of fellow visitors, without young children screaming in the background.

I was a bit disappointed in the view from my room, I probably had the worst in the resort. Still had a good view just took a little bit of effort to see it. I wish there was easier access to the beach.

This hotel had amazing views that looked out across the rainforest wildlife as well as the sun setting into the ocean! The staff were amazing, especially as this was our special spot where we got engaged, they even gave us a free bottle of champagne to celebrate!

It was small and exclusive, the food was wonderful. The staff couldn’t do enough for us

The property was amazing. But if you have a hard time w stair you may want to let them know. Also we had the Honeymoon suite which was lovely - but not for older ppl who can't navigate stairs and sudden steps. But the staff, food and views were impressive. Especially if you want to see Monkeys, Toucans and other rain forest wildlife etc

Its location

It’s incredibly dated. Food v expensive in the restaurant. And totally inflexible on my booking which I tried to cancel one night of. I was outside my T’s and C’s, but nonetheless gave weeks notice and all other hotels agreed to change as I had difficult personal circumstances. To add to the irritation, the staff said they couldn’t decide on my appeal id have to speak to the manager. So I spoke to the manager personally the next day and , guess what, she couldn’t decide either and had to defer to her manager. It was all hiding behind other people. And I had to chase for a reply on every one of the 3 emails I sent. Don’t stay here. It’s like being stuck in the 1970s and the cleaner barges in during the day to clean around you even though I had just got out of the shower! Our only poor experience of Costa Rica

Incredible views from our well appointed Room 101. One of the finest views we have experienced from a hotel room. Food was first class and staff so very friendly.

The views from room and pool area were stunning. Breakfast was very good. Happy hour was very good value

The view is absolutely stunning, the staff was very nice.

Rather pricy. No separate toilet in the room, no amenities (shower gel).

The view was incredible . We were above the forest canopy so saw birds that can be difficult to spot like Toucans and Scarlett Mccaws regularily.

I would have liked to have been a bit closer (walk) to the town . We had a car so it was fine but it would have been nice to be walking distance .

The property was great and in a great location. Views over the ocean and forest were spectacular. Also the staff were amazingly nice and friendly.

The showers were terrible. Water pressure was pathetic (as were the shower heads) and the temperature changed at will. Music in the lobby/restaurant/pool area was amateur. Being played via YouTube on a computer there would often be ads playing while trying to relax - this is poor for an expensive hotel. Also the tour to Manuel Antonio they booked for us was quite bad, the guide wasn’t good and they charged us more than was quoted.

Beautiful location, great deck with pool, lovely views. We told them we had just got engaged and they went all out to make it a very special experience.

Dining and drinking were a little expensive for what they were

Overall the hotel is still a good luxury hotel for us to stay. The view is great in the morning, and the decoration is special. The staffs were friendly, and guided us to park the vehicles and helped us carry the luggage. The breakfast was quick and good.

Even though the room is spacious, the objects are not positioned in an efficient way: a lot of tables are full of objects that we couldn't put our own stuff; there isn't a place to sit and use computer. Also, throughout our trip in Costa Rica, this is the only hotel where we were bitten by mosquitoes quite a lot. The pest prevention can be done better.

The view was spectacular, room was huge, breakfast was also nice, but nothing special. Everything remains overpriced in Costa Rica, but nothing that the hotel can do abt.

The weather was terrible, but again, nothing the hotel could do abt, we made the best out of it.

The VIEW!!! from every corner, from entering the grounds, to the restaurant and the pool. Spectacular!! The room was huge!! and we had a large balcony too, where we had tropical scenery as well as ocean view. It was the perfect place to unwind in the evenings. We saw birds, heard monkeys (though we didn't see them) but we did see a big iguana on the tree one day. The restaurant was excellent!! breakfast was delicious with a nice selection (made to order) and we chose to dine there every night because the food was so good! The stuff Was awesome, friendly, smiling and attentive. Out of the 4 places we stayed in Costa Rica this was by far our favorite!!

Nothing!

The room was huge and clean. Great views of the canopy and the sea from both the room and the restaurant. We saw a lot of wildlife and the staff even lent us binoculars for the duration of our stay to help us see everything better. The food for breakfast was delicious and changed everyday with excellent service. I highly recommend this place and would come back anytime.

Both beaches nearby are indeed a hike to access. And the bathroom wasn't the most private (just some doors but not separated by a wall).

We loved our stay at Issimo. Everything was beyond exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. We are definitely coming back!
