Very nice and comfortable room, great breakfast, fast laundry service. Also, you can take water from the reception (since the tap water is not drinkable). Great service! This was the best place we stayed in in Costa Rica.

1- Sometimes, noise from motorbikes could be heard - but not much and not often.

1- Dilan working in the reception/office was very friendly and helpful, providing information about hotel services, trails, tours, animals, etc. 2- We were impressed by the good facilities and comfort of the hotel. 3- Nice bed. 4- Nice balcony. 5- Close proximity to the local bakery, which is open from very early hours. 6- Proximity to the beach and trails. 7- Many tours start at a walking distance. 8- Cool animals to see and photograph nearby.

Hotel Jacamar was a nice stay and good value for money. The location is great and the rooms are spacious and clean and well equipped. There is no tv in the room, but frankly you don’t need it as there is so much beautiful wildlife to observe right from the porch. We appreciated the gated parking for our rental car and they can organize for you to have an early breakfast if you’re going to Corocovado NP and head out early with the tour boat.

I loved my stay at Jacamar. All the plants on the property are very pretty. My room was spacious and clean. The laundry facilities were especially welcomed. The staff on reception was very helpful, always on hand via whatsapp to answer any questions or help. It is located in the town so you are close to restaurants/shops. The cold filtered water in reception was appreciated.

The room was spacious, well airconditioned and with a beautiful private balcony with a view of many trees (and birds). The breakfast is quite good and can be arranged for very early in the morning. The staff has been super helpful with arranging tours and picking us up and dropping us off at the boat.

A minor problem is the office opening times, 12.00 to 18.00. You just need to remember this to pay any extras.

Very helpful staff and experienced at helping to organise our trip over to Sirena. Comfy and spacious rooms especially the rooms with a terrace. Parking a bonus and early breakfast (5.30!) available.

Street noise

Pleasantly surprised how updated the room was. Good location in Drake Bay. Little loud with street traffic but I'm guessing this is probably most of the accommodations in Drake Bay. Good overnight stay for a early visit in the park.

It was perfect for us

Property was well placed for restaurants. The view was lovely - we watched a humming bird every day. Room was cleaned each day. Breakfast was extra but pretty much the cheapest in the village and was excellent. Absolutely loved this place - staff so helpful and lovely

A few things that felt like they were missing: - A more convenient way to get water in the evenings, since the front office is closed after 6:30pm and the breakfast room is a far walk during the night. - Somewhere to put your shampoos and toiletries in the shower. - A small table in the room to put stuff on; there was only the chair or the second bed. Definitely be prepared for the power to go out; it went out maybe 5 times in one evening, but never for too long. Luckily for us, the power could come back on within a minute or two each time.

Serene and private rooms with patios where you can watch hummingbirds and tanagers. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were nice and firm; none of that cheap, floppy stuff some hotels give you. The room, furnishings, and bathroom were all kept very clean and tidy. The AC worked really well and kept us cool during the intensely hot afternoons. Front desk was friendly and helped arrange our boat transport from Sierpe to Drake Bay, as well as a taxi for our ride to Drake Bay airport when we were leaving. Breakfast was delicious and hearty -- set us up well for the day. We also got to watch so many different birds hopping around the trees while we ate.

It was very noisy from motorbikes - this seems to be the preferred method of transport in Drake Bay and while understandable, everyone seemed to go home late by hike and be up early for work on a bike.

Dylan met us off the boat from Sierpe and drove us to the property - we thought we could walk it but it is a trek uphill on a dusty track! The room was perfect for our stay, fridge and coffee machine were there and a lovely balcony to watch the birds and relax. Breakfast was served just along the track and we took it early (5:20am) as we took the day trip to Corcovado by boat - very tasty. We only had 2 nights in Drake Bay, found good places to eat and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. On the day we left, Dylan dropped us down to the beach for our boat at 7:00am which was great. He was a perfect host and I would recommend this place.

A bit too expensive breakfast for the choices you had. You had to pay breakfast separately. It’s quite noisy so we hardly slept anything at all.

Most people coming to drake go to Corcovado and often would like to leave luggages at hotel. At Jacamar they allowed us to leave luggages in the hotel lobby but it would be nice if they invested in a locker or a dedicated room for this service.

The room was very big and comfortable. Bed was great. Jacamar is in the very centre of the town and a short walk from the main beach. The service from Dylan was superb! He arranged that our bags were transferred to the next hotel, while we were on an overnight tour in Corcovado NP. When we came back, the bags were safe and sound:)

There was a lot of noise from the street next to the hotel. Also a restaurant next door had a party till late with a lot of noise.
