Beautiful common areas; Room was basic, but to be expected at the price we paid. Breakfast was good, with plenty of fruit, eggs, toast, coffee .... . However, it is important to note that you prepare your own breakfast in the large common kitchen. We also could use the kitchen throughout the day, which was nice. Large, well-maintained property, with limited ocean view on the large deck. Driving to Montezuma takes about 15 minutes.

It was hot in our room, although the fan helped. No air conditioning, but we were aware of that before booking.

View to the ocean and a lovely garden. The communal rooms and kitchen are large and airy, but not our room.

Location was difficult. Our room was small and had no air conditioning and no mosquito net that we could use. Luckily we had a large net with us. There were no places to put our cases apart from a window sill. We arrived in the evening and had no place to get food. We had to walk down in the heat to Montezuma to a soda. We were not warned that there is no food available. The host offered to pick us up after our meal, but no option to travel down to the restaurant. No offer to organize tours etc.

We loved this place - for us it was perfect. The setting was wonderful - such a beautiful peaceful garden and gorgeous furnishing in the communal areas. The bedroom was small but perfectly adequate - good large bed. Shower hot and ensuite fine. The breakfast we were left in our own fridge, in the communal kitchen, was fab. Wonderful 4 nights.

It wasn't that we didn't like it - it was an adventure - but we were really glad we had a 4WD Suzuki Jimney to get around. The roads all around the area are challenging . We were thankful it wasn't the rainy season. Advise that everyone follows instructions from the host rather than follows Google as it can send you on some even more tricky roads!

WONDERFUL! The villa is beautifull surrounded by a forest from one side and by a lovely garden from the other side You can eat with a view of the sea, read a book on comfortable chair or watch wild animal from the window of your room. Huge and rich breakfast. Only 5minutes from Montezuma. The host is full of good intentions to let you have a perfect moment. We definitely recommand !

The location is fantastic, secluded, and has nice views. Jodokus is very hospitable, helped with transportation and had good advice on keeping the costs of our trip down.

We loved staying at Jodokus Inn. It is in an amazing situation with views over the ocean and beautiful plants and forest surrounding it. We saw howling monkeys and lots of birds on the property. Host provided fruit, bread and eggs for us to make our breakfast. He also had good recommendations for places to eat and was happy and quick to respond to any questions. The Inn was for us oldies a 40 min walk up steep hills from Montezuma but we didn't mind because it was nice to be away from the traffic noise and bustle of town.

A little ways from town but it was a nice walk one way and the host would come pick you up to bring you back whenever you wanted.

Touch of Paradise......beautiful landscaped gdns in the jungle with great views and wildlife. Spotlessly clean with an extremely accommodating host !

Loved everything !

We had a great time there. The house is surrounded by a beautiful garden. We also had a view of the ocean from there. The staff is great and very helpful.

Very pretty big house with a great kitchen and pretty garden around with fresh fruit. The rooms are nice and clean, though there are a lot of ants and other insects due to the forest around. The host ist very nice and always available for any issues. Only slightly negative thing is the location, as it is quite far from the small city. It’s 30 min by foot down to the beach/Montezuma or a 6000 colones taxi ride up/down. The host does however offer to drive you up/down one time a day. Overall we had a lovely time!

Wonderful structure sorrounded by nature! The owner is very nice and makes you feel like home!

We loved everything about this place. Beautiful big lodge building on a a property with amazing view and gardens. All the amenities you need and heaps of breakfast supplies - making our own smoothies with fruit from the garden was ideal on a hot afternoon too. Host is super friendly and helpful!

Where to start... This might have been my best allround experience through Booking. And I travelled a lot. The place, it's surroundings, the energy, the host, the services and facilities, everything was 10 out of 10. You can pick fruits from the beautiful garden to make your own smoothie in the morning. There's an abundance of birds, animals and butterflies. You can hear the monkeys howling in the trees in the morning. I would wake up in the early morning to watch the sunrise while drinking my coffee and watching the ocean. If you want to immerse yourself in nature and have a peaceful stay this is your place. Every room has their own fridge in the kitchen and every morning your host will make sure there's enough products in there to have a lovely nutritious breakfast. It also has very well equipped kitchen with all utensils you need in case you want to cook at home. Ype goes above and beyond to ensure you have to most perfect stay. Property is a little bit far from the downtown and since I was solo traveling without a vehicle I was worried this might would be a problem. But in hindsight, I didn't want it any other way. You feel remote (in the best way possible) while still being close to the crowds in town. I either walked and enjoyed the surroundings (I would recommend to walk to town at least once and make a stop at the Beer Brewery <3) or Ype would drop me off/pick me up with his AT4. I wished I could have stayed longer. My 2 days felt like a month. If you want to fully recharge and enjoy Costa Rica in it's purest form, this is you place to go. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Ype. Keep it going, Pura Vida!

Outstandingly beautiful property, including a huge garden (you can pick your own fruit). Very clean room and shared spaces and tasteful interior. Extremely helpful and hospitable host. Free ATV ride into town or back if needed.

The view and the tranquility of the place is outstanding, you feel connected to nature and gratefull for being in such a wonderfull place

Perhaps that only gave one egg per person on the breakfast, maybe it would be good to ask this before.

Everything, it’s tranquil and away from noise downtown, beautiful gardens, kitchen very well equipped, it’s a 3 walk from downtown which for us was great and our host picked us up every evening. Host was superb and at one with nature, very informative and helpful. Animals and birds were abundant. We loved it there, l have been to many places in 50 years of travel and at this moment I cannot think of a better place to spend time at, will definitely return.

Lovely garden and great hospitality. Ipe provided us with advise for area activities and breakfast was nicely organized!

It can get quite warm in the room (No AC, fan) so please note if you’re sensitive to this.

The atmosphere and the personal approach from the owner were spectacular. The house was incredibly neat and everything was really clean. Other beaches are near and it's almost a few minutes from Montezuma. I definitely recommend this place to stay.
