Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesAlthough secluded, if you're in your own Cabana, you are on top of your next-door neighbor. Given that these are only screened in, it can make feelings, secluded a little bit of a miss.
The staff was very friendly and being a fight training gym, you're definitely able to get your fitness needs and if you want a workout. The grounds are beautiful and you do feel secluded.

United StatesEverything in Nosara is expensive, so it would have been nice to have more affordable options at the Jungle's Edge restaurant since it's more of a traveler's spot than a luxury stay. I think free drip coffee would be a nice touch, and surfboard rental, yoga, the cold plunge, and all classes at the gym were only available for additional fees.
Jungle's Edge was perfect for our girls surf trip to Nosara! We did not realize how expensive Nosara is, so were happy to find affordable lodging near Playa Guiones, and we took a tuktuk every day to the beach. We enjoyed our Bamboo suite with 2 rooms and kitchenette, comfy beds, and David, the owner, and his staff were all very friendly and responsive and made our stay enjoyable. The pizza at the restaurant was delicious! We were also able to take Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai classes at the training gym, an unexpected offering for the jungle.

United StatesTruthfully, only one inconvenience came up while we were there, but everything was handled with such grace and care. The owner made amends for any possible inconvenience that could have arisen so truthfully, it felt like a complete non-issue. Nothing is perfect and all you want is a place to Make on their promises and Jungles Edge absolutely did, 1000%
Great location with a great price and a lot of amenities. We were trying to be budget minded in Nara, which can be quite difficult but this place had rooms that were available at a price we could afford plus a pool, an open restaurant, lounge, community area, a gym, Jujitsu area. Quite diverse lots of offerings. I was able to get a Surf lesson and rent a board and get transportation all in one location. Loves the staff and the owner!

CanadaThere was nothing too concerning. If you're choosing this thinking it's a luxury option, you might be disappointed. This is a good option for easy going tourists. It is well run, staff were generally quite helpful.
I enjoyed my stay, it's good value for money compared to some of the other hotel options. In terms of location it is fine, it's not far to walk into Guinos or to the beach, but it's so easy to get tuk-tuk's to go anywhere quickly. Good air-con in the room, good wi-fi, there's a large area for exercise etc, at night it is pretty quiet. It's close to Bodhi Tree as well and there's lots of options there. A solid 8/10 for me.

United StatesIt's a little far from the beach and town, we needed to drive our rental car down to get to anything, although it was only a few minutes. As with everything in Nosara the drinks/food are way more expensive than I'd expect too.
Friendly staff and nice coworking space. Pool was also very nice. The pizza happy hour was nice and tasty too. I didn't use the gym but I liked having workout equipment there in case I wanted to use it too.

United StatesMy month long stay in a Glamping hut I anticipated as a quiet retreat was too centrally located to the main communal area -so it was noisy from activity - music in the restaurant and bar, people playing at nearby pool table into the night..along with hearing other renters in the next door huts..That being said ;It's all very jovial and does quiet down around 10 pm. However; I had asked for, and actually was assured I would be given a hut "on the end" but that was not the case. I was put in one which was not ready when I arrived hot and tired from my long trip to get there & I had to wait over an hour in the mid afternoon heat for them to clean my hut for me to take my shower and relax, settle in. I asked to upgrade to a room immediately but everything was full. I would stay here again but k it will be to rent a room with more privacy and air conditioning. I think the huts are fun, novel adventure for short stays (if you are out for the day ) but simply too hot in the high dry season to "live" there the way I did..
Loved the pool as well as the quiet hang out places near the pool with the shady hammocks and the lovely area made available for yoga, reading etc up there on hill with the breezes near the jungle away. The communal area was comfortable and nice to hang out while you do your own stuff on computer or whatever. Sitting at the bar you could always strike up a conversation and meet new people. Great selection of food , smoothies , coffees in the restaurant. Easy relaxed atmosphere and great positive energy of the Dojo students classes going on.I really enjoyed the entire staff and folks who run this place.I would stay here again!

CanadaLove love love! Beautiful and big hotel, yoga retreat at the number 1 resort Bodhi Tree can be provided at a fraction of the price. Jiu jitsu classes, amazing pool, bar and pool table etc. Owner David was extremely kind and accommodating. They have amazing food & coffee, and parties on Friday, while still maintaining a peaceful and quiet stay. As a solo traveler I felt safe. Thank you Jungles Edge! Will come back.
