The house is great for a family with a quiet, flexible location.

    • Stayed 3 nights

There is no food really within walking distance of the house. However, we found it easy enough to hop on the bus, get off by a restaurant, eat, and then take the bus back home. I also like to have a bit more information before I arrive. I would have found it useful to have a better sense of where we should be checking in because we kind of just went to the address we had and hoped we were in the right place. Additionally, I arranged for shuttle transportation back to the airport through Jungle Creek but the lack of specifics that I was provided with were hard for me. I wanted a confirmed pickup time weeks in advance and was only given one the day before when I asked again.

The house is up a quiet road which is nice. It was great for my family with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It has a beautiful courtyard with a pool and is well kept. We saw some wonderful birds and wildlife from the back patio which was neat for people who aren't used to seeing things like toucans in the wild. It is relatively close to a bus stop that will take you down to Manuel Antonio or up to Quepos for about 75 cents. The only problem with the walk to the bus stop is that for a short period you are walking along a very busy road with no sidewalk. Additionally, Uber is relatively inexpensive to take from the house to various places within the community.

Would have been great but night construction on site a bummer.

Sunday evening after out arrival was a great experience enjoying the sounds of the surrounding jungle at night. Come Monday there was construction occurring on the property directly next-door (property was connected to Jungle Creek as workers came to and thro from Jungle Creek to the home) the work involved metal cutting, hammering and drilling. On Tuesday evening I had had enough, finally had to say something at 10:15 PM to get them to stop. Really a downer on our experience there. Would have made different arrangements if I had been told before arriving (and again Jungle Creek was connected to the work being done). No biggie but was expecting a welcome arrival basket with coffee /snacks per other reviews but nothing, had to ask for coffee in the morning. Booked for five adults but only towels, cups/ kitchenware for four.

Loved the property's eclectic layout and setting (neighborhood of homes set in the jungle. Great location close to everthing. ) Nice small community pool / sitting area. Heidi the manager was helpful and attentive,

Unfortunately it rained constantly during our 4 night stay. It rained so hard that it was leaking at several locations on the porch so our feet were always wet. The sound of the constant rain on the tin roof got to us after a few days. This was no fault of the property.

The property was amerced in nature. We saw some beautiful birds, butterflies and our neighbours saw a Sloth in a tree. They communicated very well with us and provided us with a yoga mat and extra towels when needed. The place is very clean but a tiny bit dated. Lovely gift basket was a nice touch.

We loved our stay at Jungle Creek and would happily return. The only thing that would have been useful is instructions for the coffee maker as we struggled to make it work!

We loved our stay at Jungle Creek. Heidy met us to give us the keys and show us around, and gave us loads of helpful information. We also really appreciated the welcome basket. The accommodation was spacious - two double beds, kitchen, living room, huge bathroom and outdoor seating. We swam in the pool a couple of times which was wonderfully refreshing after a day in the heat. It really felt like we were in the middle of the jungle. There's no breakfast but the kitchen is well equipped to make your own. We weren't that organised though so took a lovely short walk to a nearby hotel with a restaurant in the mornings to get breakfast. The location is a little out of town, and we didn't have a car, so used buses and taxis to get to the centre of Manuel Antonio, but that wasn't a problem. Heidy gave us the number of a taxi driver so we were easily able to get to where we needed to be.

One of the pool chairs was broken. The main road can be intimidating on foot because there is traffic and no shoulder or sidewalk.

The location was great. Very close to the bus stop, but tucked away on a side street. The pool was nice and the upstairs patio too. The cleaning staff was very friendly and helpful. The welcome basket was very much appreciated. We were able to do laundry. The place is a short ride to lots of local destinations and you can walk 20 mins to the small beach past Ronny’s place (but it’s hilly so wear shoes). You can access the jungle path to El Salto waterfall which was a great adventure. The mono lodge was big enough for 4 people. All of the tour operators picked us up and dropped us off no problem.

Comfortable beds, plenty of equipment in the kitchen and good air conditioning made for a very comfortable stay. It was close enough to MA park to make it easy but far enough from the crowds to be relaxing. Also 30 min to Rainmaker park which has canopy bridges and beautiful waterfalls to clamber into.

Really need to get a taxi everywhere. We love walking but main road not suitable for walking so even to go to a restaurant you need a taxi! There is a bus along the main road but even the short walk to the bus stop didn't feel safe for a child especially when dark. Would have been helpful to have information about the National park given to us. How to book tickets and the rules etc. We nearly missed out as first day we planned to go into the park was sold out so we only ended up with one day in there (we'd planned for 2)

Nice sized apartment and can see plenty of wildlife. Woken up by monkeys one morning. Manuel Antonio is stunning.

We had some problems with the night tour that can be bought at this property, but Heidy did all her best to manage that. The problem with AC was handled super fast.

We enjoyed our stay in this villa. It’s one room but pretty big, sunny, and comfortable. You can find here really huge bed, sofa, couple of armchairs, dining table, fully equipped kitchen; for cooling down there are 2 ceiling fans and AC, bathroom with everything you may need (hairdryer and washing supplies). Big plus for us - this property has laundry and parking place. Also you may find here some common place with swimming pool, grills and tables to chill out. The road to the property (last 100 meters) is not great but doable as I think with any type of car. Overall we recommend this place for a nice and calm stay. You may feel here as at home.

The pool was a bit small, not really for swimming.

It was comfortable, quiet, close to nature, well equipped. Our apartment was in the lower label, so it was cooler. Close to the nicest areas and restaurants in Manuel Antonio, yet away enough from the main road that it felt like been in the jungle.

We had unlucky timing. It was not a quiet retreat when we were there. Loud families and construction. It’s not in the middle of nowhere, many properties around, so it was quite crowded.

The villa is spacious and has everything you need. A comfortable bed and great water pressure! The patio has a nice view of the trees, many birds. The pool is a nice cool down at the end of the day. The ability to do laundry is great and we appreciated the welcome basket!

Everything, it’s a disaster. The staff didn’t speak English, they took us to the wrong room, made us leave 8 hours later and then a few dash of arguing with the owner he told me to get the fuck out, his exact words and he was calling the cops. I have message proof of all this. Would sure be nice if I could get some help. This host was racist, disgusting, and shouldn’t be allowed to list properties. I sure hope booking does something after I spent thousands on my vacation.

Nothing, this place is a health concern. The common area has such large gaps between the bars your child could fall through and die. This place had mold and feces in our room. I emailed booking and the property owner and have been ignored. We had to find another room and pay for it and then haven’t been reimbursed for the change.
