Great location just a short drive from the main centre. Lovely clean rooms. The outdoor kitchen had everything we needed and the pool was a great bonus.

Nothing. Everything was as we wanted.

The room was exactly what we needed - just a place to rest our heads, incredible value for what we paid, and close enough to walk wherever we needed! Bonus points for the cute little pool in the back and the quaint outdoor kitchen!

This is a great place to stay to meet other travellers to help you decide which tours to do and to have some nice social time. The pool was a great way to cool off and relax at the end of a long day. I also enjoyed the short walk to town to get some steps in :)

Although others mentioned finding the traffic noise to be an issue, I slept great. It is more like white noise which wasn’t an issue for me.

Milly was very helpful and arranged all our tours. The pool was great to cool off, and I loved the shared kitchen facilities. The noise from the road was a bit loud at times but we still had a great time.

The hotel is small and efficient. It feels maybe more like a hostel with private dorms, rather than a hotel? The rooms have good air con and all the necessary facilities, but are not especially comfortable to spend time in as there are no soft furnishings, and very harsh lighting. The outdoor kitchen works but the equipment provided is quite basic. The bathrooms worked quite well; the shower had good pressure. The owner helped us book a transfer to Monteverde at a better price than I could find online. The transfer was perfectly on time and worked really well. The location is on a main road, but the noise did not disturb us. Tiquicia is a nice restaurant (but small!) about 5 minutes walk away, and the supermarket/town centre is about 10 minutes. It was very easy to get Ubers to or from the hotel.

Good location , 10mins walk from La Fortuna centre; kitchen with essentials and good outdoor area with pool. Room was basic but with air conditioner

Bed very uncomfortable and squeaky. SUPER +++ noisy! Hotel is by the national road so all day and all night we could hear cars and trucks passing by, sleepeless nights indeed. And all the guests complained of the same , super bad sound isolation. The “manager” of the place only works from 11:30 to 17:00 but you can message her. Payment in cash on arrival . Towels for pool not provided.

Lovely clean room good size and we'll maintained. Bathroom was nice provided towels and small soaps and shampoo. Pool was lovely open kitchen area next to it made for a social area. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking equipment.

Arrived at 10:50 to drop our bags off as informed office opens at 11. Nobody turned up till 12:30 ended up getting the laundry code via text to try and store our stuff in their. Screwed up our plans of going out in the morning. When staff did turn up we were informed check in would be at 14:00 despite it saying 13:00 online. Staff let us put our stuff in our room whilst she cleaned it so we could head off to do our activities. When we arrived back staff shouted over the pool telling us to come over and pay now. Very aggressive and demanding attitude Infront of other guest. Happy for her to come up to us and ask if we can pay now, but yelling across the pool you pay now isn't the best. Also wasn't sure how to check out as nobody was there so ended up leaving the key under the mat. Therefore wouldn't rely on being able to check in or store bags on time. Staff aren't great.

The tour organiser on site was very good at organising tours. The pool and the kitchen area were nice. The room was clean and there was hot water.

The noise from the main road. The hotel is essentially a large wooden cabin and has poor sound insulation. If you are at the end facing the row it can be noisy. A bit of a walk to the centre although got used to it and all tours pick up from the hotel.

Nice clean little room with space for our cases and good bathroom. Use of kitchen and fridge and outside seating area a bonus. Nice pool, although we didn't use it due to the weather.

A long walk into town. May have been do-able if the weather had been kinder to us.

Pool and communal kitchen area were lovely. The small room was the perfect size, with a private bathroom and a small corner rack for storage.

Rooms in the tropics have a little mustiness that's hard to get rid of. To be expected!

Close to town. Close to river swing. Walkable to waterfall. The pool was great. It was really well maintained- lovely gardens . Saw toucans, iguanas , hummingbirds, frogs from the garden. Outdoor kitchen was amazing. Staff helpful. Mildred booked our trips which were great value compared to other operators offering the same.

Traffic noise. Room was a bit like a PGL cabin .

Room was clean and comfortable. Felt a little small for two people but for the price it is worth it. Pool and shared kitchen space were appreciated. Staff very kind and helpful. Located near city so all tours we booked accepted to pick us up. Self check-in/check-out was great because our shuttles from different locations did not reach the hotel when the front office was open.

Street was very loud but this is specifically mentioned by the property on their listing so just make sure to bring ear plugs or headphones if you are a light sleeper. Quiet hours weren‘t really followed by guests but that is out of property‘s control.

The pool area with outdoor kitchen was great. We saw toucans and parrots from the pool. Milly was great.

The room is so small the bed is flush against the wall and it’s hard to move around in the room. There is some traffic noise from the busy road.
