There is nothing to not like. The shower is not hot water but we didn’t need it as the weather is hot and it is refreshing to cool off after exploring.

The green garden area is pretty and relaxing. The host, Edwin is an asset. He is friendly, helpful and interesting to talk to. The rooms are basic and charming. The internet worked well. The location is excellent for shops, transport, restaurants and bars. Easy local bus ride from the airport. We are going back.

The clean courtyard a pleasant place to sit. Made to feel like special guests. The owner assisted us with any issues and full of knowledge on places to eat and visit in the town. The hotel located in a central area with easy access from the airport and restaurants.

Very convenient location in the centre of Liberia - easy to walk from the bus terminal and lots of restaurants and cafés around. There's a beautiful courtyard to hang out and it was surprisingly quiet at night. Rooms are small but very clean. But what makes this place so special is his owner and his family: Edwin is such a wonderful host and really takes care of his guests. I only spend two nights together with my 5year old son at Hotel Liberia but Ewwin was so welcoming like I have stayed there for much longer.

Just one thing, showers were one te.p only, kind of cool. But in the hot weather, that's just fine! I should have left my AC for the room off/not set as cool until after I showered.

Edwin was a wonderful host. The hotel is in center of city's historic area. The courtyard and open lobby area are lovely and comfortable - nothing fancy, but also nothing pretentious. Same for the rooms - modest but clean and comfortable. Good a/c. We opted for breakfast - good coffee and delicious fresh fruit. Off street parking available.

The courtyard was such a nice spot to hang out. Very quiet and peaceful. Edwin was an amazing host! He answered all our questions and more. I would highly recommend the breakfast.

The owner Edwin went above and beyond to make us comfortable. Arranged for a taxi to pick us up at 4:00 AM and even made us coffee that morning to send us off with.

Very basic lodging but the hosts are friendly and the location is fabulous. Perfect for staying the night in Liberia after a long flight. Relaxing courtyard area and the air conditioning is great. Close to dining options and feels very safe. Good for families with tweens or teens looking for a more authentic experience.

Excellent location and the owners are a really friendly couple. They’re renovating so it still needs work but it was comfortable enough, rooms. Are small ,they have a beautiful patio. There’s AC in each room.

The rooms at this hotel surround a lovely inner courtyard. Charming and helpful hotel owner, Edwin, prepared a tasty, traditional Costa Rican breakfast with coffee that we ate in the courtyard. Later we took an Uber to the airport for the first time. Edwin waited with us for the car to arrive and helped us to communicate with the driver. The rooms are simple and small but we had a very good experience.

Simple rooms and bath, very basic for what you need. Bring your own shampoo and conditioner. Linens are provided.

The owner and his family were incredible hosts! They were generous and helpful on a scale of 10 out of 10. The hotel is historic, small and cozy. The location is close to the main jardin and the church. We would stay again!

The bathrooms were small but functional and it took a bit of time getting used to tepid shower water. But then again, it's Costa Rica, so a hot shower would probably have been uncomfortable.

The location of the hotel was outstanding- close to SO many restaurants and to the town square. The owner, Edwin, was an absolute delight- extremely friendly and super helpful in local recommendations.

The rooms are bare bones with no tv and no hot water in the shower. There was a wind storm and celebration going on and with a tin roof we heard it all. The AC helped temper the noise, which was no fault of the hotel. Just be aware if you are looking for peace and quiet in a rural setting this might not be the hotel for you.

Centrally located in town it is an easy walk to several restaurants. There is off street parking and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast included freshly cut fruit with granola, eggs, toast, avocado, coffee or tea and was delicious. Wi-fi was good. All in, our room and breakfast, was less that $90.

Delicious breakfast! Coffee, yogurt with fruit, granola and honey, plus scrambled eggs with toast and slices of a perfectly ripe avocado served in the beautiful open air garden.
