Very secure with huge private garden and hiking trails. directly on our terrace (no.17) a big nose bear familiy (about 10) visited us in the morning. Great!! we had free firewood for the oven (yes, it can be cold in Monteverde...). Really good and save stay there!

Perfect set up for 3 couples. We had the possibilty to cook basic food...but there are SO many excellent restaurants witin easy walking distance, being there on holiday there is no question as to what works best. But if needed there is a good supermarket, also within easy walking distance. We also followed advice from reception who organised a night walk for us. This is well worth it! We saw SO much and the guide was SO enthusistic. Cafe Ancestros coffee and night tour. I thoroughly recommend Los Pinos.

The location was perfect, not right in town but very close to supermarket, restaurants and the monteverde cloud forest reserve and Curi Cancha. The cabins were spotless, comfy beds, spacious, well laid out. Very hot water in the shower. The staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about facilities and attractions nearby. Lots of birds near the cabins and a couple of nice short trails attached to the property.

We were there at the beginning of July and it was a bit chilly in the house. It would be nice to have a heater.

The cabaña was spacious and the kitchen was well equipped. It was nice to have the option to lit the fireplace. The hotel has a big territory with 3 hiking trails in the forest that were well maintained. There was a supermarket and several restaurants in 5 min walking distance.

It was an amazing place, one of our favourite stays of the whole trip. It felt like you are in a secluded cabin in the woods. The trails are beautiful with a great viewing platform overlooking the valley. It was spacious and comfortable with good amenities . The people who work here are very helpful and friendly.

Just one random incident: a swarm of termites in our outside shelter came in under the door. We took shelter in our son’s bungalow, but the termites were everywhere and a mess to clean up. The door should have a door sweep to prevent this.

Our second stay here, with son, daughter in law and granddaughter. Separate bungalows close together in a beautiful setting were perfect.

Can't really think of anything

Pictures of the cabins are not representing how amazing this place is! We stayed a couple of nights and wished we had more time. The cabin itself is very comfortable with everything you need to cook nice meals and enjoy them on the patio. We truly felt like we were living in the rainforest for a few days - we've seen beautiful butterflies, birds and even had the visit of a couple coatis.

Kitchen section is very small and cramped.

The cabin was extremely pleasant and well equiped for a family. The only problem with our family is that the kitchen section is very small and cramped. Our family deal with a lot of allergies, so we have to cook for ourselves rather than using restaurants. We also loved the distance between the cabons that allowed privacy.

It takes a few minutes to walk from the room to the hotel’s exit, and there is a slope, but it wasn’t a problem.

The location was great, with restaurants and mini-shops within walking distance. Check-in was smooth, and the view of nature and birds from the room’s terrace was wonderful and refreshing. The shower had good water pressure and temperature, which was much appreciated. Wi-Fi was also fast and reliable.

This hotel was set on beautiful grounds with some wildlife around. Even though you have neighbors fairly close by you feel like you have the place all to yourself due to the lush greenery surrounding the cabins. We didn’t get to see much of the grounds since we were in Monteverde mainly just for the hanging bridges and zip lining, but there were some hiking trails all around that I would’ve loved to check out. The cabin was perfect, with enough space for me, my friend and her 6 year old to be comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped for us to make both dinner, a packed lunch, and breakfast. The shower had some of the best water pressure I’ve ever felt and gets hot enough that I almost burned myself. The patio was a great place to relax and listen for different animals and birds. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and check in and out was very smooth.

The property is beautiful with well maintained gardens and lots of wildlife. The trails behind the cabins offer a nice leisurely stroll through the forest with nice views and chances to see wildlife. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the cabin itself was amazing.
