We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Manuel Antonio! The location is unbeatable — right across from the beach and just a short walk to the entrance of Manuel Antonio National Park. It made it so easy to explore the area without needing to rush or plan too much. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, all within walking distance, and Uber is available if you need to get around further. We also appreciated that private shuttles to San José can be arranged in advance — very convenient for planning your travel. The stay was comfortable, the staff were helpful, and the location truly couldn’t be better. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Manuel Antonio!

Edgar in the restaurant was a fabulous human being.

We had to sign a waiver that we would not participate in prostitution while staying at the hotel; we are a family. The staff was not friendly, the facilities very old and run down. I was extremely disappointed.

We had breakfast at the Hotel Cafe. It was delicious and affordable. Great, friendly service.

No complaints or suggestions. This will be my go-to Hotel in Manuel Antonio!

Outstanding location and friendly helpful staff. The hotel is located truly directly across from the beach and a short walk from the Manuel Antonio National Park. Hard to imagine a better combination of location. The front desk staff and the restaurant staff were very helpful.

Cheap feeling motel. You're not staying here for any comfort or semblance of luxury. Bare minimum accommodations.

We liked the location, friendly staff, beach towels and outdoor shower, and the restaurant next door.

We loved the convenience of the location and that’s really what you’re paying for here. It’s a 30 second walk to the beach, and a 5 min walk to the park entrance. There are beach towels to borrow, and strong WiFi and AC. Would recommend if you’re really looking to spend your time at the beach/park and don’t care so much about everything else. Staff were helpful with booking airport shuttles.

The rooms are solid but nothing luxurious so the price felt steep for what we got, especially without breakfast being included. Rooms are definitely a little dated with stiff beds, but clean.

Location

Towels were hard and rough. In bathroom the taps were moving about, grout was mouldy in showers and there was nowhere to put toiletpaper, no holder. Furniture dated.

Proximity to the beach and gardens/landscaping.

Felt old like a cheap motel from the 1980s, 10x overpriced for the value. “Ocean View” room was technically correct only. Paid the most expensive tier for ocean view room and got a ground floor room from which one can sort of see slivers of the ocean through the palm trees and tourist buses. Should be called “kind of technically able to see the ocean room.” The lights in the rooms are garish, a cold 5000k or daylight light color. They give hotel guests bags with the remote controls for TV and aircon, which feels ghetto and like the hotel isn’t safe. More like a motel than hotel. No fridge in room, which is okay but still, this place was $200 for a night. Haunted vibes inside the room.

Very clean, nice rooms and a lovely garden. This hotel has no swimming pool, but there's a wonderful beach just across the street.
