This is not a complaint - just an observation. No air con but two fans pushed the air around enough that my room wasn’t stuffy. Lovely cold and refreshing shower.

Good location, and fantastic owner/operator. Maureen is a wonderful caring person who genuinely cares for your well being while staying at Miriam’s Place. She suggested the best tour for visiting Corcovado National Park and gave me advice about where to go locally for solo walks. Maureen also booked my onward boat travel. My room (#2) had a comfortable hammock to rest in and I had numerous small birds visit the shrubs right in front plus a green Iguana come by. The kitchen is clean and contains sufficient utensils with gas cooking plus refrigeration space to prepare your own meals. My room was clean and spacious, serviced each day with the provision of a fresh towel daily.

Comfortable property in beautiful gardens in a quiet part of Drake Bay. Helpful staff who looked after our luggage when we went on an overnight trip to the Sirena station. Responsive to messages and helpful with booking our boat spaces from Sierpe and back. The rooms were large and had AC and fridges - both appreciated in the hot and humid weather.

I would give a 6 stars if I could. We really liked this hostel in Bahía Drake, it's a perfect place for backpackers. Everything we needed was close and the staff was very friendly and helpful with everything we needed, even at 6 am in the morning when the gas tank in the kitchen was needed to change so we could make our breakfast. They are very helpful with booking excursions and transfers too. There are plenty of animals around the house and you can even see small crocodiles in the stream at the property. We have seen hummingbirds in the garden, geckos in our bathroom, lot of lizards and iguanas and macaws. Kitchen was clean and they had a coffee machine and a blender so we could make fresh smoothies. The grocery store is right in front of the hostel, fruit store with fresh local fruits is 5 minutes by walk and there are few laundry facilities around the place. It's very close to the beach, to the restaurants and to the ports where all the excursions are leaving from. We were arranged a pickup at the airport and the drive took around 20 minutes. The place is quite remote which makes it a good off the beaten path destination for travelers who don't seek for luxury but fun and adventure.

The room without air-conditioning was very bare-bones. As someone from the Northeastern U.S., believe me when I say that you need an air-conditioned room in Drake's Bay. I'm sure I would have acclimated in a week or so, but we weren't there long enough for that to happen.

The best part of Mirian's Place is the extremely kind staff. Everyone was very helpful with reserving trips, finding us a Sunset Cruise when the first boat needed repairs, and making sure that we knew not to drink the water in Drake's Bay. Additionally, they were kind enough to let us change rooms from not air-conditioned to air-conditioned. They carried our suitcases over to the new room while we were at lunch and handed us the new room's key when we arrived.

Noise from the road as dirt tracks and lots of motorbikes use it for work. We soon got use to it. Very hilly so it’s good we enjoy walking!

We had villa 1. Massive bed, large walk-in shower room, terrace with garden. Staff were super friendly. Cleaning and beds changed daily. Great value Supermarket opposite

The room is very hot and the infrastructure is very basic - but considering the price, you cannot expect too much.

It is very close to the village centre / beach which is very important if your trip starts early in the morning. The owner is very nice and helpful. There is a shared kitchen in case you want to prepare your own meals. There is also a private parking.

Communal kitchen was a little tired but perfectly functional. Space in fridge and coffee machine worked - so it was fine. Dusty walk into 'town' - roads a little slippery with the gravel - just have to take care.

Room was wonderful, A/C great. Ensuite was good and shower hot. Terrace are was lovely. Parked car just outside room.

What a great place. Clean and comfortable accommodation at a good price. Fans to keep you cool (or AC if you booked a different room). Spotless shared kitchen. Grocery store across the street. About 12 minute walk from the beach was doable with my backpack. Friendly and helpful people. Quiet at night. Stored my stuff while I overnighted in Corcovado. Ticks all the boxes!

Unlike other places in Drake, they won’t assist with pick ups and it’s a difficult walk from the boat drop off with luggage. There are no fridges in rooms, only the communal kitchen.

The rooms are nicer than the photos, it was spacious, clean and bright. Near some excellent restaurants and very close to the beach. Great, clear communicators with excellent English.
