The gardens were well maintained and beautiful. Pool area was lovely, however pool was a little cool and the hot tub area was no different in temperature than the main pool.

A lounge chair or two by our pool would have been great! The constant bass from the pool bar music all day was a bit annoying. We wanted to hear the birds more than that.

In general, the property was dated. Lots of weeds growing on villa roofs and pond overgrown with plants. Both showers in our villa had lukewarm water, never hot. Not enough places to hang towels and wet bathing suits. WiFi was very spotty. Property is not walking distance to any other food options or shopping, and no gift shop at property to just get a snack or treat.

Rooms are adequate but not exactly luxuriously furnished. It would be good to have some dim bedside lights not just overhead lights. Also the property is very spread out, which is nice, but does mean our room was 5-10 mins walk from the pool/lobby/restaurant/car park area (uphill one way).

Loved the view and the very unusual bathroom waterfall shower. The pool had a great view too. We enjoyed the breakfast and lunch in the restaurant. It's set in absolutely beautiful gardens which are amazing, Luckily the room had good A/C.

I have just a few suggestions: install lights along the pathways for nighttime and add house number signs to make them easier to find; otherwise, people might get lost. For breakfast, add a bit more seasonal fruit and juices since we’re in Costa Rica, and there's no shortage of good options!

Breakfast was average. Breakfast tables could have been cleaned better. Wifi signal was very weak inside our room which was frustrating.

The food in the restaurant should be better for the price. One very minor dissatisfaction was the seating around the pool bar - hard, uncomfortable bar stools.

The situation was perfect, the staff were incredibly helpful, the room was lovely. The snack food around the pool bar was good, we had a wonderful stay.

Our room/villa was in the back (324). The Wi-Fi was not good. We often had to go to the bar or up front to get better service. If you need wifi request a closer room to the central area.

The receptionist was great. She helped us book a day of horseback Riding and it was perfect! The housekeeping seem to know when we left and came to clean while we out without any additional prompting.(one day we were only gone 3 hours). The view was of the arneal volcano. No words for waking up and see such a sight!! Anytime walking through the property. Birds could be spotted enjoying the beautiful landscape of flowers and fruit trees!

Not sure - wish we could have stayed longer but it was booked.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - the breakfast was great and when we did choose to dine-in, the meal was great and reasonably priced. This is a peaceful and quiet resort.

Breakfast was okay but for such a nice resort I expected higher quality. The lunch/bar menu was good but dinner was overpriced and not great. I recommend having a car so you can eat out.

Great view of the volcano. Very natural setting with a frog pond at the back of the property. Close to town but far enough to be quiet and peaceful. I saw Toucans and other birds on the property. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The waterfall shower in my room and jacuzzi tub on the private patio was awesome.
