United StatesThe property is not as big as we imagined it would be. Overall not enough areas for people to hang out, basically just two pool areas, the beach area, and the tiny reception area and that’s it. Big stairs( which we like) but people with mobility issue should be aware before staying here. The Buffett place should install air conditioning as it’s too hot and humid there.
I would overall rate 7.5 for our overall stay (the booking doesn’t allow me put half point). The food is really good, my hubby and I both enjoyed them a lot, from the buffet to the a larte dinner to the snack bar, the food was tasty and warm and offer a good variety. I don’t really see why so many people in the reviews complained about the food being bad. The room we got, is bigger but still not a clear view of the bay/ water( after I requested to the reception when we arrived that I prefer a room with clear bay view, no overgrown shrubs) The beach area of this hotel is amazing, we watched two nights of amazing sunsets. Most of the staff are kind and nice. Overall we enjoyed our stay here

United StatesThere wasn’t much I didn’t like about property! I loved that it was relaxing, people were super friendly! Food wasn’t great! It was a Buffet and the restaurant was way too hot, no air conditioning! made for very uncomfortable conditions and a feeding ground for germs! We ate elsewhere on the property and had no issues like that! All and all it was a fantastic time!

United StatesHad situation where our tour guide could not drive in with his son (young) - it required the 4 of us to get out of the van at the front entrance and walk uphill to the lobby (from the gate). Food was pretty good, but looked better than tasted. Inconvenient when door key did not work - we had to take shuttle back tot he lobby to get key re-charged. Would have preferred a private beach instead of the public one.
All inclusive - buffet line was convenient. Pretty environment - rooms were nice and the main lobby was very nice. Enjoyed the pub area while waiting for the meal line to begin. Although the buildings were a distance, the shuttle ran pretty timely and was responsive. Staff were pleasant & helpful. Nice to have wine with meals.

Costa RicaIf you’re traveling with elderly people or people with mobility issues it’s not a great place as there’s no elevators, ramps and there’s a lot of stairs so be mindful when reserving.
Convenient, everything is close by so it’s comfortable to walk around to the snack bar, pools and other amenities.

GermanyDefinitely it is necessary to invest more in infrastructure for elderly people. Not just in the buildings and rooms around but in the internal transport services. A better acces for those whom may need a better mobilization might helps. The installation of a lift in the main building would be important. It's important too to invest in the security staff on the beach.
Great cleaning service and in general great treatment for the clients. Good variety of dishes and good quality in the buffet and snack bar.

United StatesI didn’t like the fact that I had to pay the sum total for the stay at check in because it gave the employees no obligation to value my friends as customers afterwards. I felt like I had to earn their respect to be treated properly. Once I did they were nice to me. I made sure to tip the servers although a tip was already included in the reservation fee, and I was taxed on the tip! It made the price online seem misleading. I expected to pay taxes for my stay, but I didn’t realize that I would charged automatic gratuity and expected to tip employees. I heard the employees openly discussing who was a good customer or not based on how well they tipped. I’m not sure if the hotel even pay their employees based on their demeanor at times. I wasn’t treated poorly but my friends were. One of my friends asked a server for a drink, and she told her that she could go to the bar and get it herself. My other friends didn’t receive fresh towels for days. She had to reuse the towel she placed on the floor to clean up the water after getting out of the shower to dry her body. There was a period of time when the power went out for hours. Our group had just returned from an excursion. My friends’ room had power, but mine did not. I somehow had AC though. I couldn’t even see the walking path to go to my room because it was completely dark. I had to take a shower by flashlight and ended up staying with one of my friends that night for safety reasons. The workers on the shuttle didn’t speak and would often zoom past us when we wanted a ride. It was hard to get their attention to get a ride. They made such a big deal about having a reservation and not letting you make a reservation too far advance but also limiting reservations the day of. I thought it would be this grand experience but it was blah. One of my friends had severe food restrictions that they couldn’t or wouldn’t accommodate. She could eat fish, but most days they didn’t have anything that she could eat.
The rooms were nice. The resort was beautiful. The pool water had the perfect temperature. I like that the resort was located on the beach so that we could do water activities such as snorkeling, wakeboarding, fishing, etc. Having easy access to fresh fruit and seafood was a luxury. The music entertainment at night was great, and the club was fun. Most of the workers were nice to me although my friends didn’t have a pleasant experience. When I asked one worker where a particular building was, he just pointed. When I asked another worker for directions, he not explained where to go but drove me to my destination when I looked confused. I didn’t have any face towels the entire trip, but an employee gave me some extra hand towels when asked. The buffet and eating areas were always clean. The staff worked quickly to clear tables and seat guest. They were attentive to when guests needed refills or a plate removed. The chicken wings at lunch were great. They cleaned my room almost every day that I stayed at the resort except the day before I was supposed to check out. I heard that the drinks at the pull up bar were great.

United StatesCrabs in my Deluxe Bay view room on ground floor. One crawled under my night suit waking me at 2 am. Understaffed. Only one shuttle to take around in rolling hilly ground. Not conducive for people with knee pain.
Plush Landscape, garden 5 star Food 3 star Rooms vary from 2 star to 4 star. "Deluxe" to describe room is a misnomer. Super Receptionists changed me to a better room 2nd floor due to crabs in my room.

United StatesThe food in the snack bar area was terrible. The food was clearly just taken from breakfast and then put under lamps to be eaten off of all day. The food was not fresh and this is the only area to eat in between meals, so that was dissapointing.
The views and the staff were great! We loved the access to the beach. The breakfast was phenomenal. Larry made making transportation arrangements effortless. You can definitely have a great time and also relax.
