United StatesThe crowd was not as kid friendly as I would have liked. We witnessed several verbal confrontations between other guests that included the threat of physical violence. The resort has no control over that, and resort security was good at monitoring and intervening. The kids club activities are better suited for children six and under. The pool was average. There was a weekly activity schedule, but it didn't include all events. There were also nightly movies, but without Daniel we wouldn't have known what they were . The Hibachi and Italian restaurants were good. The other restaurants are average. The staff that arranged excursions (inside the lobby)were great, but the staff at the outside excursion meeting point were not as friendly or helpful. They arrange excursions with local providers. Some services, such as spa and excursions, seem overpriced.
Daniel, our Butler, was exceptional. He has a great personality, is attentive, and knowledgeable. The entertainment staff at the pool was great . My family also enjoyed the nightly shows. We loved the beach area. Beautiful and soft black sand.

Costa RicaFor an all-inclusive, and generally hotels in Costa Rica, there are much better options at the same price tag or less. Food was a left down, and they seriously need to revise their reservation system. We arrived to check-in by 5pm after a long trip, and hoped to try one of their 'special' restaurants. To our surprise, there were no reservations available for any time in any of the 5 restaurants during our entire trip (3 night stay). We are easy-going travellers and have no problems with queues, but that was a deal-breaking disappointment. So we were left with the buffet, which wasn't that great and was the same every day (lunch and dinner). We only managed to try 2 special restaurants by stalking the app or hoping to get lucky someone canceled by asking the hostess, both only at 6pm. Some areas, such as the pool, need a makeover. The electric-cars take forever to arrive, which can be a necessity to some travellers with the many hills and sunny weather. Overall, there is a general feeling that the design of the common areas and services of the hotel were not aligned with the number of rooms. It all feels crowded.
The staff is amazing! They seemed to recognize the troubles in the hotel and do their best to make it work despite of it. Queen's tribute was nice too

United StatesNo co-working space. The doors near the cafeteria are not automatic so I almost dropped my coffee. There is too much chance to have more and better night life and it's not considered. The accessibility is almost 0 going to the rooms and moving to the entire installations, no sidewalks or something to go by walking. The internet is as insecure as it can be, a hacker could've traced all data, I had to use mobile data many times. The bar closes really early and the hotel is just too kid friendly, making it boring after midnight. There is the possibility to use the beach more with shows and music but it is not being taken as an advantage. The guidance on what my package included was very superficial and Spa and most extra commodities were incredibly expensive for what it offered. I'm from Costa Rica and can visit this hotel even once a month but I felt it was not worth it at all.
The view is amazing and the variety of restaurants were really nice. Rooms service 24/7 is the best. The attention from the personnel was beyond good, I have to say that out loud.

Costa RicaWe were disappointed with the customer service. Here are two examples. First, after enjoying a great Teppanyaki dinner, my stepdaughter asked for ice cream. The response was that it was not included in the Teppanyaki menu, and the only option was the matcha cheesecake. Such a response was unexpected in an all-inclusive hotel. The other example occurred during lunch; we were suddenly informed that the restaurant was closing. I only had the opportunity to have a salad. Our recommendation would be to inform customers upon arrival that the restaurant closes at a certain time. Additionally, there should be a reminder 10 minutes before closing.
We liked the facilities. The food was amazing.

Costa RicaEven though there are several restaurants to visit, we were unable to visit them all due to no space. For the steakhouse, we went 3 nights in a row even near the opening times with no space; this left us with no chance to visit this or the Mexican Cantina one. There was no option to make reservations or a way to make it fair for people to enjoy all the options avail.
Location is great, we felt welcomed during arrival, easy check in, food was amazing, the room was nice and clean. Pool was nice and the hotel has access to the beach (low waves). There were two great shows: the fire show and the tribute to Queen.

United StatesThe food was very American fare. Only soda and Pepsi products available with lunch and dinner. No coffee bar that I saw. Few non alcoholic choices. Beach is not great- esp since CR has so many great beaches but you could def. find a place to read along it.
It’s like a bit of Vegas dropped into CR but with Costa Rican staff. Great pool! Great shuttle system. Great service.

United KingdomFood for dinner could have been better- the resturaunt food was ok- but could have been slightly improved. Additional services quite expensive e.g the spa. We didn't use this because of that.
Breakfast was great, plenty options to enjoy in the mornings. Liked that there was also a small coffee shop to pick up things if on the go. The pool area was a pleasant surprise. Initially was not sure about the music and the foam party etc, however it really made the whole experience fun and unique. The staff at the pool were great. Guest services were always in contact to ensure my husband had enough vegetarian food options available to him. Evening shows when we went were great.

United StatesI wish that the Karaoke machine had more songs to select from, the machine was surprisingly limited in song selection. There really isn't an incentive to utilize the a la carte breakfast area.
I definitely preferred the Breakfast Buffet over the Star Package a la carte breakfast. Also, the Buffet has better scenery if dining outside. All in all they have done a really nice job with their options available to everyone staying there. I also appreciated the fitness classes, especially after all the eating and drinking that was done.
