It was peaceful, had a yoga place but you gotta do yoga by yourself (theh don’t offer classes). They organize a lot pf tours and transport.

The people were super nice. I really liked the vibes and loved the chance to practice yoga whenever I liked. Really close to the city center. I liked the quiet area, the large kitchen, the amazing yoga shala. People were available and nice.

Staff wasnt so welcoming, poor information on what to do in La fortuna, room quite small for 4 persons. They could definetely improve the offer (yoga classes, activities) since the hostel itself is really nice!

Really nice garden and common area. Rooms are okay, but really small and hot in the night. There is a plattform where you can do yoga by yourself.

The man a the reception was not super friendly, he was quite impatient. However, the other staff were very nice and helpfull. There was no tupperwares to put leftover food if we cooked, this was quite inconvenient. The hostel dog sometimes barked a lot at night which is kind of annoying if you are trying to sleep.

The beds were comfortable and the individual fans were nice. I did not think they were too loud. Very clean hostel, smelled clean as well. Lots of chilling areas.

The only thing is that there were two doors in the room and sometimes people used to go through the main entrance to the kitchen. But it was ok.

The location is the best. Near to the Maia street with all the restaurants and stuff, but in a quiet area. The staff was really nice and always ready to help.

Rooms were super small and no lockers for backpacks. Not a super social atmosphere or any game nights or other activities to get to know people while I was there.

The packages they offer are well worth it ! Many beautiful and interesting tours for a very good price. Very well located in La Fortuna, easy and safe to walk around without a car.

They confused me with another guest and out me in the wrong bed. I did not notice at first but they quickly corrected the mistake. If you are a light sleeper make sure to arrive early to get the best bed. Some beds are near the window so you can hear people walking by (mainly guests of the hostel).

The breakfast was awesome, had nice pancakes while bird watching. Definitely recommend. After they confused me with another guest they fixed the error and put me in the correct room and apologized for the mistake. Anita was a wonderful host, very friendly and well organized. The location is really close to the city center but offers a quiet area to sleep. The activities you can book through the hostel have a fair price and Anita will make sure you get on the correct shuttle. If you want to be really comfortable make sure to get the room with the AC.

A very nice vibe at the place. Friendly service. Clean. New. Cozy. Free coffee served at 7.30 every day. Quiet yet central location. Good internet. Enough communal space to socialize or to have privacy. Comfy beds. Towel rental. Lots of storage boxes in the kitchen. Kichen well stocked with all neccesary tools.

Great for solo traveller, easy to get to (I came by public bus), provide loads of Information on tours. Stayed in 6 bed female dorm and always a bit cosy when a full dorm, but comfy, hot showers and great kitchen facilities.

Very few bathrooms. We had ten people in our dorm, and only one bathroom. There were other bathrooms, but not enough for the amount of people staying at the hostel

The room for 4 people is tiny and I have to say the beds are one of the worst I have ever slept in. The matraces are not the issue, they are comfortable but the structure of the beds are terrible, doesn’t feel stable at all and with every little movement starts to shake also the ladders are so difficult to climb up. I don’t think I would stay again if I would know about the beds. Also going to toilet in the evening / night is really far, i had to walk thru multiple rooms (hall, kitchen , terrace,…)

Great space, it is newish and everything is in a good condition. Great kitchen and hang out space. Reasonable priced.

Dorm got a bit hot, I didn't have AC but it meant people kept leaving the door open to the room. There was little space in the room to put bags and belongings

Nice social spaces, free yoga classes offered, dorm was comfortable with a very comfortable bed. Areas and room were kept clean. Kitchen was clean and well equipped. Staff were friendly and the shower could be hot with some patience!

The kitchen was very well equipped and very clean. Containers provided enough storage for food as well and had a lid which I appreciated. Even a little airfryer was there. I asked to change into the female dorm after my first night and the staff replied very quick and prepared everything while I was on a tour. For that I was very glad. The common area was very well designed so it was easy to get in touch with other solo travellers. The tours were also lots of fun. And a plus for the hostel dog, who was so cute.

The staff isn't very helpfull. The girl was okey, but the guy looked annoyed to be there, just didn't bother giving information or recomendations in town even when asked. They don't accept card payment, and only let me know this one day prior the arrival, when it should be clear from the start. (Well, they actually sent a message 1 day before saying they accepted card payment with a 10% fee, but upon arrival the guy said firmly no card at all).

The place is quite clean and organized and there is a nice common area. The kitchen is very well equipped, and is always well kept. Good bed, the fan and the power outlets by the bed are nice, but the room does get very hot and stuffy, specially by the end of the day.

No lockers in the rooms, which is due to their smaller size. There are a few lockers in the common area though. Therefore, I would install a few more coat hooks on the walls in the dorms for more clothes hanging opportunities.

Staff at the hostel is extremely nice and helpful with all questions regarding trips and tours! Nice common areas including a yoga deck where you can work out during the day and a big kitchen.

I didn't realize they have a section for smoking, this is my fault, but I didn't like that I would get 2nd hand smoke by being in my room since the windows are always open I found out the hard way that there was no hot water.

It's central to La Fortuna so restaurants & stores are walking distance. The hostel also gives you info for the bus on how to get there from San Jose Airport which is awesome & they can also set you up w/ tours and if you pay cash it's cheaper than getting it through Viator, and they pick up at the hostel. There's no AC in the dorms, but there is a mini fan above you that kept me cool during the night time.
