this is my 2nd time staying here. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and value for money. For my 2nd stay i got a room in the newly expanded wing. Beautiful and modern. absolutely loved it.. The hotel is on the downtown street so it was walking distance to everything. Plus point, its only 5-6mins uber ride to Baldi Hot Springs ... so worth staying!!! we booked our day pass with the hotel so was much cheaper than booking on website.!

Very central location and excellent pickup point, close to restaurants as well. What we did not like was there is a bar next to it where they sing/party almost every day and u literally hear everything in your room, so if u wanna sleep at 9-10 after a day of traveling/hiking, that could be annoying, but still we slept like babies.

Room downstairs was very quiet given hotel location on main street. Very convenient location for tour pickups. Great having a frig in the room to keep the water bottle cold, and a hot water dispenser in the lobby for evening tea.

Large comfortable room. Clean, even a balcony with volcano view. Well I'm told you can see the volcano, if it ever stops raining. It didn't... so this is hearsay.

The only problem was a very loud nightclub across the street, we could hear the music until 2am.

The staff was friendly, our room was spacious and clean. The hotel was right in downtown La Fortuna with plenty of restaurants within a few blocks.

Location in front of a club and at the main road, which led to noises the whole night. The windows are not soundproof enough to block them out.

Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Helped us with transportation and supported us by calling the tourism police and talking to tour operators, when there were problems with a booked tour, even though we booked it independently! Offered a ride to a thermal bath as well! Always available hot water! Some choices at breakfast! Our room had a nice, big balcony with a view of the volcano. The cleaning staff prepared the room very creatively!

The only negative is the hotel is located right on the main road so there will be some noise from traffic. Additionally, there is a club right across the street that is open late(1-2am).

Staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly. The hotel is location just a few blocks from the the center of the city and several restaurants were within walking distance. The staff were also a great help in booking activities and excursions.

The coffee in the lobby was very good. We could drink it while waiting for tour pick up. This hotel was close to a lot of different restaurants, also different price ranges. Rocio was very helpful, suggesting breakfast places & tour options.

As other reviews say, it gets noisy at night yet I had no trouble sleeping with earplugs. There was sometimes a weird smell coming from the patio through the always open bathroom window, but nothing too serious.

Great, helpful staff, easy booking of tours with good prices, all was clean, fridge in the room, AC worked fine, would definitely recommend the hotel.

We knew from previous reviews to expect noise due to roadside location and proximity to bars. However, nothing quite prepared us for the Black Moon bar/club/atrocity directly opposite the hotel, which insisted on having an outside balcony with blaring music until 2.30am every night. Ear plugs are a necessity (and may not be enough) or being hard of hearing like my partner! This really let down what is otherwise a good place to stay. Would've scored a 10 if it wasn't for this.

The lady on reception (possibly owner?) was lovely and really helpful. Sorted laundry and transport for us. Free coffee and bananas were a nice addition. Room was exceptionally clean and despite saying no cleaning for 3 days this really only refers to changing sheets. Room was cleaned with fresh towels every day. Room was also really big with sink and fridge. Loads of space and great view of volcano.
