It's a bit rustic but for the price it's perfect

In my opinion you need to have you own car. The lodge is not that close to other restaurants or shops. And the driveway to the blue bungalow was too steep for our 4wd drive car.

The staff and the owner are fantastic! We arrived during torrential rain. The staff helped us finding our bungalow and gave us an umbrella to get from the car to the bungalow. The bungalow was private, small kitchen but functional, bedding was good and so was the shower. From the swimming pool and our bungalow we were able to spot macaws, which we didn’t see at the national park Carara.

The location is amazing! In the jungle with the most amazing plants and toucans and macaws flying around, nothing short of a dream! The staff are genuinely lovely, the pool is beautiful and clean. I loved waking up early listening to the jungle whilst having a coffee.

Beautiful location for a quiet rest to see the forest. Nice pool and walking areas. Fantastic breakfast and very friendly staff. Cottage was well appointed with all our needs. It has very steep driveways so be cautious of that aspect. Lived there area and highly recommend. Thank you to all the staff.❤️❤️

We had two small bungalows booked but they upgraded us to a wonderful two bedroom house with a pool right next to it. We were high on a hill surrounded by a scarlet macaw sanctuary. The birds were one of our prime reasons for visiting the area so the birders were in heaven. Great typical Costa Rican breakfast and a very accommodating staff.

Beautiful place and very friendly and helpful staff. Clean, spacious rooms and parking next to the room. Walking through the jungle to your breakfast, while birds are whistling and chicades are tjirping, is the best way to start your day!

Nothing, everything was perfect.

Great location and a beautiful setting. The staff were helpful and really friendly. Lovely breakfast every morning. We saw white nosed caotis, monkeys and lots of different birds during our stay. Definitely recommend staying here if you are in the area.

The place was beautiful and quiet, set back in an amazing restored patch of forest. We were there for wildlife, and seeing macaws from inside the airconditioned room was fantastic during a heat wave. Very close to Carara National Park, and some decent restaurants nearby. Not too far from cities if you want more facilities, and the bus stops quite close-by. Staff were great. Only improvement would be a restaurant open for dinner so we didn't have to leave.

I really enjoyed this place. It's all sorrounded by nature, the swimming pool was cleaned and the privacy of the place it's wonderful. The staff it's so adorable, specially Sandra and Carlos. The breakfast was delicious, really good coffee and fresh fruits. I highly recommend this place.

No complaints.

The property is close (a couple of minutes) to the main road, but is actually inside genuine tropical forest with dispersed lodgings and a pool. We saw there more animals (at closer distance and in a shorter time) than in the nearby Carara national park (with fees to pay on the internet). We had a spacy house. the breakfast was good and the pool nice. Excellent value for money, in particular relative to Quepos (manuel Antonio).

This was one of our favourite places in Costa Rica! The room was comfy and clean, the staff were all lovely and helpful, and staying in the grounds was like paradise! Seeing Macaws, Toucans and Hummingbirds all from the relaxation of the pool was wonderful. Lots of other wildlife spotting also on the various trails around the grounds. Breakfast and coffee were also great each morning. It was a great base for further exploration of the surrounding parks and rivers.

Breakfast was a bit basic. Room could use a bit of an upgrade. Unfortunately we did not see any animals during our stay despite many people commenting they had seen macaws etc.

Such a wonderful green place on earth. We really enjoyed our stay at Selva Color. Sandra, Carmen and Carlos were very helpful and gave us some good recommendations on what to do in the area. There is a great pool area where we had a lot of fun with our children. We saw aras, a tortoise and squirrels. We stayed there for three nights and for two nights we got an upgrade to the pool villa which was really fantastic. A supermarket and some restaurants are only a five minute drive away. We can definitely recommend this resort.
