The pool is beautiful but the water isn’t something I necessarily wanted to get into. The first day my hot water didn’t work so had to wait for the next day for it to be fixed.

Great property! I stayed in the king room and it was massive! Great aesthetic. The beach is a short walk away and lots of great restaurants nearby. The whole place has a vibe and always something going on, I loved it and would stay again! I also booked surf lessons and a massage through the hotel - which was great!

I do not recommend this property for peace and quiet or privacy. It wasn’t a problem for me but it could be for some. The rooms are designed very modern industrial, but do lack in things like hooks or chairs. The bathrooms and kitchen were a bit grimey, but this place always seems to be full so I am not sure how often they are getting a thorough clean. The dorm rooms are often not locked either, as people always seem to be going in and out. You do have a large locker in the room for your belongings. There are also windows into the rooms from the common area, like I said it’s very communal. The top bunks were a but difficult to climb in and out of due to ladder and hand rail placement. And the light in my bunk did not work so it was very dark but I luckily had a headlamp. I also was not given a towel at check in but knew to ask for one since the other girls in my dorm all had one. This would also not be a great property if you had accessibility concerns. There are rooms accessible without stairs however there is still a lip from the patio door track going into the room.

Somos is a wonderful place to stay if travelling and looking for a friendly social environment. There is a steady flow of people in and out and it is a very communal place. The building itself is gorgeous and the common areas are beautifully designed. There is a restaurant in the front part of the lobby which is always busy, but then there is a gate that limits the back half of the building to guests only. The pool is placed well, and the 6 bed dorms had two bathrooms. The air conditioning in the room was too notch, I did hear however from my other dorm mates that one night it was broken and the room was stifling. Privacy curtains in the rooms were great. They also had a night of music which was very popular. Although I didn’t have time to take advantage of the exercise classes or gym equipment, it also all looked very nice. The surf community seemed to be the targeted demographic however there were many other types of travellers staying as well.

The room was cozy and had a nice charm to it, but we found it a bit pricey for what was provided. The bathroom could use some updates, but overall, we had a pleasant stay!

I loved the pool and the many activities available. The cafe had food that was 10/10. The vibe was nice, and everyone was sociable and friendly. The bed in the room was massive and the perfect size for two people.

We booked the best room that they had which promised a nice view but we overlooked a construction. They should have a breakfast included option as prices in Santa Teresa are going higher and higher.

If there was one recommendation I would make to Somos, it would be to improve the quality of the coffee there. Everything else was amazing, but Costa Rica has such amazing options with coffee beans, it was the one item I would not purchase there again, and was probably the reason we did not have eat breakfast at the hotel. Everything else was top class.

What an awesome location, and a great group of people to working there. We changed rooms on a few occasions and each one was very well styled, the products in the bathroom were of good quality and overall the atmosphere here was well worth the visit.

The rooms in the back were very warm, the air condition hardly was able to cool down the room. The front rooms were more spacious but very noisy, felt like being in a big city. Overpriced.

The place is really pretty, the rooms were very stylish decorated with beautiful view and common space. Great breakfast, try the tropical bowl!

Perfect location for the beach. Hotel and restaurant staff very friendly. The house is modern, well maintained, clean, love the pool area. The room we had was nice. Everything was clean and it had AC.

At night there was a lot of live music, which is great if you want to stay up later or socialize and party. But if you want to rest I would recommend a different place.

It’s really hard to sleep before midnight as they play loud music every night till 12. The bar probably makes a lot of money so I don’t blame the business plan. They give ear plugs but that only does so much. Additionally, for the price there should have been breakfast included. I absolutely enjoyed my stay but do not feel you get what you pay for. For $200+ a night I expected more.

Amazing staff that makes you feel super welcomed upon walking in. Beds are comfy. Cafe is cute.

first, we got the wrong room after the change we were offered substitution for the breakfast till the end of the stay. In the middle of our street, we got the new rooms that we actually Bedford and they wanted to decline as for the breakfast for substitution for the rooms in the first it was a very awkward and uncomfortable experience otherwise the staff in the restaurant is super nice. I wish we wouldn’t have this incident report with the room’s mix up. it left a very bitter taste on the whole vacation since we had to discuss every morning regarding this breakfast thing. I wish I would just ask for the money back.
