Honestly, there's nothing I didn't like.

Absolutely loved it here! As soon as I arrived I was greeted with big smiles and kindness from the staff. They are relaxed, helpful, fun and just really good people. Room was great! Bed comfy. I loved how the hotel had different zones so you can either be social or find a quiet area to chill. Shared kitchen was super clean, spacious and very well organized. Lots of surfboards for rent. Beach about 50m away, a few cafes / restaurants close, as well as the mini market store. 100% will be back! Hopefully sooner rather than later. Thanks for a great time Hotel Swell.... Walter, Flavio x2, Natalie, Federicka and Chepe, you guys are legends, well done on your exceptional customer service.

We loved everything about Swell Pavones. We had a wonderful 10 days there with little kids. Great location, I loved the groove and laid back athmosphere. Great equipped shared kitchen.

We choose a room without AC, so it was incredibly hot and humid. It was our first stop in Costa Rica, so we didn't realize the degree to how hot it actually gets (we were there in March). Pick AC option if you can afford it.

We had an awesome stay! Location was perfect, quick walk to the surf. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, was an extremely good vibe. Two of our nights they even cooked up family dinners for everyone, and had a campfire going. Additionally, I left my watch in the room by mistake, and they even took the liberty to coordinate mailing it back to me. We can't wait to go back to Pavones, and would stay at Hotel Swell again, for sure!

My room like many in the surf hostels in town did not have air conditioning.

The location was amazing, walking distance from the wave and everything in town. The staff are amazing! They were extremely hospitable and welcoming and I felt they treated me and the other guests as family. I would definitely come back to stay at Hotel Swell Pavones.

Amazing place in amazing Pavones. Owner prepared for us best pasta ever. We had a great time here! We had room nr.1 it was private and calm place. Near was tree with a lot of Ara.

This was an amazing stay! We are two surfers and loved the stay here. The room and location are very nice, but for us the staff and owner are the real selling points. They were very welcoming and accommodating. The owner made tuna for us twice and fixed our flat tire without expecting anything in return. We had a great time here!

hotel swell is in a great location right in the center of town and just a short walk to the beach, the surf break and the river. the rooms are simple with no frills but for the price it was good. however the owner Walter and manager Ruben went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Walter had us for dinner and made a delicious fresh seafood pasta and Ruben was extremely friendly and helpful during our stay. I recommend hotel swell!

This place is certainly one of the best bets in Pavones. Staff is extremely friendly and helpfull. The owner maintains the hostel constantly and very passionate. The place is located in the center of Pavones, if this really exists in this tranquil beach village. We stayed with two kids and everyone was super nice to the kids and they felt at home on the first day. We'd definitely come back any time.

the shower was not great: dispenser didnt work and there was no hot water but that is ok given the temperature outside there is no AC
